Similar to last season, 3rd or 4th, but I fancy us to do better in the playoffs this time.

Think we'll be better at home, but not as good away this season. Playoffs for me, still think we lack some firepower, but we'll be hard to beat.

Either 1st or 2nd, depending on how quickly Scunthorpe’s shit hits the fan.

7th. Just think the loss of Willoughby will have more of an impact than some believe. I don't think there's much between a lot of the teams in this league. Will be happy anywhere in the play offs.

In the top 2. I think we are broadly stronger than last season, Charlie Caton will thrive on being the main striker and we may struggle to keep Matty Williams in the January window. Up the Seals!

Nobody but the post-season winding-up petition is stopping Scunthorpe. Think we’ll finish third again.

Overall we are stronger than last year. The younger players are a year more advanced in their development. We are a stronger, close knit group.
We've lost the best keeper in the division. However, Stanway has impressed in preseason.
This time last season i thought the last two signings needed to be big ones. We got Willoughby and Kenyon. Willoughby changed draws into wins in the September to December period.
I'll hang fire in my final finishing position until the squad is complete. I have a feeling Cal knows who he's likely to bring in, and has for a while.
No signing, and I think we'll be 3rd-6th. Key effective signing, and luck with injuries and we could be higher.
The lack of a proper proven striker is a concern. Caton will score goals. However, he's at his best running onto balls, not working defenders and finding space in a crowded penalty area. I've not yet seen enough from the rest of the strikers to think they'll do that job either.
Cal was on about a couple of "gold" targets the other week. The last signing (or two?) could be the difference. Wonder whether we're waiting for the amount of any fine to known before committing to a signing?

Or do we think we’ve got enough in Caton, Goodson, Bishop? I’d say probably not but can’t see us getting anyone in now who’s got some form of pedigree at this level up top? Safe to say we don’t really need any midfielders? Maybe a wide man?

Delusional. 11th is about right. I'd accept 7th, but fear less.

We won't win it but will be near the top all season & will secure a playoff place. Just hope we don't bottle the playoffs again as I can't stand the thought of another season in this shit league.

All their players who have gone to Scunny for the big money could end up with fu@k all if /when they implode . They must know the financial position ?

We’ll agree on this 😂 I cannot stand this league and yes I do look at it with some sort of arrogance we should blitz it. Tamworth, Rushall, Peterborough Sports I could go on…. If we don’t go up this year, that’s nearing 7 years in NLN.

They do, that's why they'll have signed th contract. They'll be contracted to get that money, unless they say they're happy to waive the contract.

A bit of realism leads me to think play offs is the best bet. On a positive note we've retained a lot of our best players from last season so that continuity should help, but it remains to be seen for how we cope without the goal haul of Willoughby. We all know that Calum has a good formula away from home but you have to think teams will wisen up a bit more, so I think it's really important that we can do better at home this season. Not expecting swashbuckling football at home as we know that's not really Calum's style, but we do need to be more dominant at home and figure out a tactical solution to teams that sit back against us. If we can replace Willoughby's goals and improve our home record then there's no reason why we couldn't win the title, but until I can feel convinced by either of those things then play offs seem more realistic.
