With our injuries it's going to be tough match tomorrow. Hopefully we'll avoid defeat and get some points on the board. 1-1. COYB!

We got off to a very disappointing start last Saturday, so it’s important we get back on track tomorrow. What has been a long week since that poor performance in Bishop’s Stortford has turned into an even more longer one, with the awful news that several key players will be absent tomorrow. It’s an unprecedented blow that leaves us down to the bare bones this early on in the campaign. I initially predicted a win, but I’d be quite content with a draw tomorrow given the circumstances we find ourselves in. I’m looking forward to seeing how we perform at home this season, as Calum McIntyre has banged on about how crucial it is we improve at the Deva, and he’s right. King’s Lynn Town were up there throughout last season, and I expect they’ll have another strong campaign this time out, so it’ll be tough out there tomorrow. Whenever we play against each other we always seem to serve up a cracker though, so hopefully there will be more entertainment on show tomorrow. Ticket sales have gone really well despite the restrictions, so I reckon we’ll have a gate somewhere between 2,500 and 3,000 tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to seeing competitive football back at the Deva anyway, and let’s hope we’ll defy all the odds.
Score - Chester FC (Whitehouse) 1-1 King’s Lynn Town (Hughes).
Attendance - 2,812 (74 King’s Lynn Town).

Seen nothing to really inspire in any of the pre season games and that was before the injuries. Think we lack physicality in midfield and up front and its why we cant dominate games. I would sette for a draw.

If the injury situation is as Cal says then I don't feel we'll have enough to cope with Kings Lynn. Take Williams, Weeks and Caton out of this team, along with Burke, Glendon, Thomas, Roberts and Heywood it's not a top half side.
Chester 0 - 3 Kings Lynn

After a 2-0 defeat with a fit squad, I can't see anything more than a loss for this one.
Chester 0 - 2 King's Lynn
It's going to be a long season.

I don't understand all the doom and gloom, it took us until after the Oldham game in the FA Cup to get our season going. Things will kick in once we've got the squad 100%

Anyone got any fireworks in the Deeside area to pop up St David’s Hotel?
Going to need any advantage we can get with half a team tomorrow 😂😂😂😂

Things will kick in once we've got the squad 100% If we had made a decent start last season we possibly could have won the the league outright without the lottery of the playoffs.

Things will kick in once we've got the squad 100% The doom and gloom is justified, we really needed a first game win to kick things off. The shite 2nd half display against Bishop's Stortford and injuries we've already encountered is going to make things even harder to keep up. We can't afford to wait until half a dozen games to get going.

I actually had us down to win this before the latest injury news broke - but, weirdly, I’m still feeling more confident than I felt ahead of Bishop’s Stortford. 1-1 with a goal from Murray, followed by a ten-page thread about how we’re going to be relegated because we’ve only got one point from two games.

If the injury situation is as bad as stated, can only see 0-2. Wanted more pace, width and players who on their day can make the difference this season. Personally I thought we were disappointing last season at home and lacked enough quality to break down teams who parked the bus. Missing potentially Williams, Burke, Weeks and Caton from the squad along with Thomas and Glendon and with Willougby gone it's going to be tough.

That thread will include a big query of the attendance, crap catering, the ale has gone up, long queues, etc. Ah, it's good to be back. 😬

I will buck the trend and go for a heroic win in adversity, in front of 2,565, with about 50 away fans.

Injuries have put a downer on this one, will be happy to get anything out of the game today. Hopefully a decent crowd won't be disappointed.

Apart from Williams and weeks the replacements aren’t a lot better or worse than the short term injuries. It’s still 11 v 11. Positive attitude needed from the team. Fight like hell and win 1-0. Fullbacks will be important for us today both in defence and attack

Weeks, Williams and Glendon must just be filling seats on the bench.
Bit of bare bones isn’t it without Roberts, Caton and Thomas as well.
