We've a match on today!!
A tough game today against a fellow play off contender. I'm going for a 1-1 draw. Second half equaliser from the penalty spot.
Hopefully we can build on recent performances and get a run going.

I think we’ve got enough about us not to concede, fingers crossed we can find just one chance to register a 1-0 victory with 190 blues in attendance 🤞

Fair play anyone going after Scarborough away last week, what is it with these aways to start a season?
I’ll take a 1-1 draw and then we’ll be back at the Deva to do Hereford midweek.
Fancy Williams and Burke to do a job on Taylor - famous last words 😂

Was a much-needed win on Monday in what was our best showing of the season. Could’ve easily been four or five for us. Spennymoor Town have made a strong start so we mustn’t underestimate them, but they’re a bit leaky at the back having conceded seven already (three more than us) - four of whom came in their 2-4 home defeat to newly-promoted Tamworth. We’ll be without Harrison Burke today, who wrongly got sent off at Scarborough, and he’ll be a big miss having played a key role in our win over Farsley Celtic. To have Kevin Roberts back is duly needed, as he protects our back four really well - enabling the likes of George Glendon, Declan Weeks, and Elliott Whitehouse to play their game. A draw today would be a decent result ahead of our home doubleheader next week, where we really should be aiming for maximum points. Looking forward to just the fifth trip to Spennymoor for me, so let’s hope we’ll get our away campaign up and running.
Score - Spennymoor Town (Taylor) 1-1 Chester FC (Whitehouse).
Attendance - 1,455 (151 Chester FC).

I fancy us to get something today. Would be fairly happy with a draw but I wouldn't be surprised if we sneak a win.

I’d be happy with a point, but we ought to be full of confidence after Monday’s display and so I reckon we might actually sneak a win. Spennymoor 1-2 Chester, goals from Hall and Whitehouse.

Two changes to the starting X1.
Edwards in for suspended Burke, Evans in for injured Hall.
Thomas and Caton are back in contention, both on a heavily attacking bench.

All depends which Chester turns up if we start like we have in the three home games we can beat anybody, but start like we have in the away games so far and it’s going to be a struggle. It’s a complete turnaround from last season when we were hopeless at home but great away🤷

Great to see Caton back in the squad. Lot of quality on the pitch.
Would take a point to get us going.

I know it’s due to injuries but we don’t have any goal threat up front at the moment

Plenty on the bench, three forwards and an attacking midfielder.

Substitute Charlie Caton makes it 1-0 three minutes after coming on up front for Evans.
Our first away goal of the season.
Frankie Maguire is also on for Murray in the hole.
