Match threads only longer than 2 pages when we lose so the usuals can spout their negative shite. But yeah agree, Burton was shite. The last three match threads when we've won have been 3, 5 and 6 pages. But don't let the facts get in the way of your favourite narrative š¤£ Agree on Burton, though. Kev MacIntyre in his second spell was dire. Ade, we both know match threads when we lose are traditionally much longer than when we win. šš¼

Tends to be more to discuss when we lose, especially against these "tinpot" teams.

Thatās the nature of a fans forum, Molti. Six pages after Chorley away, which was arguably our best performance of the season. Anyway, half the posts (see what Iāve done there, a bit of exaggeration to make my point) when we lose are you slagging off your fellow fans for negativityš

Just me who didnāt think Scott Burton was *that* bad? Wasnāt the player Salford fans told us we were getting, but not convinced he deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as some of the names in this thread - seem to remember him actually coming into form and beginning to hold down a regular place in the side just before Covid hit.

Nowhere near the Gorans, SVJ etc but was crap and injured often.

Talking about legs going how about Chris Iwelumo. Didnāt play very many games but legs had long gone and definitely wore boots made out of concrete. He was terrible for us, but I do think that last minute winner against the Goats wouldn't have happened if he hadn't been on the pitch. They were all looking at him and ignored Heneghan completely. That's why I always stick up for big guys up front like Kole Hall. They can appear clumsy and ineffective, but if you're a defender you hate playing against them, and if you're a striker I bet you love playing alongside them.

I'm sure I've said it before, but one of the funniest moments in football was at Farnborough away. Mark Beesley to Sam Hill right in front of me. "Why don't you just fuck off". He meant it. Funnily enough. I've a similar story involving Sam Hill. We were playing at Leigh RMI one evening when Gordon Hill had just become manager.Ā About 15 minutes in Andy Porter steamed into one of their players right in front of us, and there was a bit of pushing and shoving. Andy turned to Sam and said "you can fuck off too you shithouse". He meant it too. We lost 3-0 and we were dreadful. Found out a few days later that just before the game Gordon Hill had told the whole squad they weren't good enough, and were being put on the transfer list.Ā Gordon Hill was such a weird character, looking back. He'd had a decent career, played for England and you can't imagine he'd have been short of money. How did he find himself acting as a suck-up to a loony like Terry Smith?

I will give you all them bar Seddon because he apparently turned down work to play for Chester and tried his best Also scored a worldy to win us the game at Darford. wasn't the best shot of that game, mr hipkiss(not barry) got the ball straight in his clock from subs warming up at halftime, unfortuantley myself and whopper 1 missed the incident but still laugh about it

Sublime shot.

James Alabi scored for Bath City in the National League South yesterday. Good for him.
