Thought I’d start one match day and nothing so here we go. Maybe slight apathy given our recent form? Easy one this for me from my Solihull base. We tend or stay least in recent times have generally done well against the top teams. It won’t be easy today as I think they need something like 4 wins to guarantee the title. We as we know desperately need to get back on track . My going for solid 1-0 win for us smash and grab stuff . We certainly need at least a point today given awful results of late have seen us slip down the play off places See you there if your making the trip think we’ve sold around 600 ?

Late notice but does anyone want a free ticket for today? Bought one and planned to drive up from London but can't make it now - let me know if so.

Tamworth 2 - 0 Chester.
Tamworth have managed games really well and been grinding out results so could be a more difficult game than Scunny.
A point would have been a really good result a few games back, now it could just drop us down the league. Strange division this.

It was a dismal and lacklustre showing against Southport, as we deserved nothing from the game. I’m just hoping that the defeat will give us a wake-up call - similar to the Spennymoor Town game last season when we were on a run of draws before that one as well. Tamworth are champions-elect and have been absolutely phenomenal all season - conceding just 22 goals, which is the best defensive record in the country. They were a very ordinary side when we beat them in the reverse fixture, however you cannot fault their record overall, so we must’ve caught them on a rare off-day. They need just 10 more points to be crowned champions, so it might be a more competitive game than usual, which should suit us as we perform better when the opposition goes for it. Really wouldn’t surprise me if we were to get a result today, as has often been the case against the top sides away from home. We probably need three more wins to secure a place in the top seven. I’m not expecting one today, but from next week onwards we really need to get at teams and give it absolutely everything to show that we are capable of reaching the play-offs. We’ve only had ourselves to blame in recent weeks, and we ought to pull ourselves together as we can’t let this slip. This is somewhat of a rarity for me, but considering both us and Tamworth have the two best defences in the league, I’m going for a 0-0, which I’d be content with. We’ve sold 800 so far, which is tremendous support given the disappointing run we’re on. Can’t wait for my second trip to the Lamb Ground.
Score - Tamworth 0-0 Chester FC.
Attendance - 2,172 (756 Chester FC).

Change the midfield three to Murray, Roberts and Glendon and we win. Won’t hold my breath though.

Going for a 1-1 draw. Glendon with the goal. Hoping for a bit of a reaction from the boys today! Attendance 2078 with 643 soggy but noisy Seals!

The sort of game we've done well in this season. Problem is there's now a bit of a pressure and almost an obligation on us to get a result.
I'll go for a 1-1 draw.

Tollitt on the bench. Madness. And Coates. His two faves Whitehouse and Weeks start even though they were shocking once again on Tuesday.

I'm here in person, first match attended since York away, although it feels like more thanks to NLTV. Going for Tamworth 0-1 Chester. Caton to score.

Away at top of the league, off the back of a terrible performance on Tuesday? Feel I’ve got no choice but to predict a 3-0 win with goals from Caton, Peers and Weeks.

Good half, apart from when Tamworth had a freekick on the edge of the box, it's been all Chester.

Needed 3 points but we have to be happy with out playing the leaders away from home and gaining a point. Looks like an exciting run in for the play offs. 🫣
