I am absolutely astounded that he's had the temerity to come out and speak to the press after that - let alone the horrific contents of what he's said, blaming everything apart from himself.
He is completely delusional. Any other manager would have known they were going to be removed from their post and not spoken to the press, yet he comes out goading the fans even further.

The man has not shown a shred of humility ever since this disastrous run of form started in December. Not once has he blamed himself. I am utterly appalled that a manager of a fan owned club is allowed to come out to the press and say the things he says.
Apparently this 'nice guy' buys into our model. Well that's odd, all I can hear after he loses games is how we are underfunded, understaffed and we have poor medical support.
I'm simply not having it. He isn't a nice guy at all. His arrogance is astounding. A man who has mustered 4 wins in nearly 30 games has the sheer brass neck to say that we would have definitely got 6 points if he had a fully fit squad.
Get him out of our club. If he is here on Saturday I will be behind that dugout giving him my two penneth. It won't be pretty.

Well from listening to that I now understand what goes on in his mind - We're actually quite a good side but we can't get the players we want on the pitch. Astles is injured. Oh and the press don't accurately report how good we've been with our 5 wins in 2017, they just focus on the negatives.
The man is totally deluded. Why can't be just admit that we're staring down the barrel and if he's not prepared to take the blame himself, highlight that the players need to do much better rather than giving them a pat on the back?

The times he has had a go at the fans for supposed negativity, having a go at the budget, the facilities, the press, blaming injuries, blaming everyone else, blaming people on devachat - makes me sick. He is making out we are some tin pot team that deserves to be in about north west counties, he has sucked the life out of all the fans with his jibbering shit, he has sucked any expectations out of us all. I have been coming to Chester a lot longer than you Jon McCarthy and I will be here when you have gone as well. Get out of my club now! |

So yet again he blames the club for lack of for medical funds for treatment the fans can see what they are trying to do and he still feels he is the man for this club.
He still feels the players are behind him and he hasn't lost the dressing room, I have thought about this recently and if you had a manager that was easy going would you create waves when you get time off after a defeat ?
He really needs to go and I am glad I have had some beer to ease the pain after listening to his interview yet again.

His answer when quizzed about playing Sheron instead of Waters beggars belief. He's going on about making the right call bringing in Sheron because he's more experienced and older than Waters. Sheron is only two months older and has no experience of playing at this level and was awful by all accounts. What was the point in signing the youth players if you are not prepared to give them a chance when needed?
The board and most of the players must take some of the blame. When he does go it will be interesting to see how the players respond on the pitch, if they don't improve then the fans frustrations will quickly turn on them.

Im fed up of repeating myself now. We all know what is required. It's not even a tough decision for the board anymore. It's just a case of them plucking up the bollocks (which to be honest, I don't think they have) and pulling the trigger. Short term pain, for a long term gain. Hoping for some news from the club today but knowing them they will give him until Saturday so he can say goodbye. Wouldn't put it past them. Then in the coming days they can play rock, paper, scissors amongst themselves to see who calls the deluded one into the office.

Yes and he actually said about Sheron 'eh I got that one right' did you? We lost 2-0 and most people who went said he played from average to out of his depth. |

So you don't like this board, you vote them out and get some new fans on it, that is the beauty of a fan-owned model, or do you really want to go back to not being able to vote for anything under a Vaughan, a Smith or a Gutterman? Either you are a very young lad with no concept of our history, in which case I forgive you but would urge you to do some learning, or you are a daft eejit (being polite). |

I've been coming here since 1960. I repeat the fan-owned model is not working and no I don't suggest that we replace it with a Vaughan type. I am an owner (for what it's worth ~ not much). Most of the people that I have voted for the board in the past have eventually walked away. You would have to ask them why. If you think my post was stupid then fair enough but I don't care much for yours either. |
