Okay ... sorry everything's fine. He should never have been given a 2 year extension. This fan-owned model is not working. They've conned a load of us into renewing our STs and it's the same old shite. His after match interviews are a clear indication that he needs carting off by men in white coats. If he's still here on Saturday I won't be and I have a season ticket. Tell me what's so good about this current board and don't give me the bullshit that they're volunteers. Everything clearly isn't fine - but what do you actually think the board do? Sit in the Legends Lounge in their suits, eating prawn sandwiches and laughing at the situation I'll bet? No, they are fans just like you and me. Perhaps he could have gone at the end of last season, but the budget was raised and most fans were optimistic about the new season. We find ourselves where we are at now and maybe a decision needs to be made - but don't do all this GCSE 'rage against the machine' nonsense. What on earth does that mean. Strange man.

OK - perhaps that was a bit derogatory - apologies. What I meant is that people have a go at JM - fair enough. People have a go at the board without really knowing what's going on. Whether you like it or not, that's the situation we are in. They were democratically voted on the board and they will make decision as a group. I've been on committees and sometimes find myself with the majority and sometimes find myself as a dissenting voice. You can bet your bottom dollar that's how it is in our boardroom at the moment. That's the whole point of boards / committees though - you hope they have enough experience and common sense to come to the correct decisions.

I think his interview is one of his worst, and that says something. The talk of if Hannah and White are fit up top and Astles is available its 6 points from the last two games is simply ridiculous. Everyone at the game last night know that we would have lost that game regardless of who we had fit. At very best we would have got a point as Astles would have helped that back line. Solihull were the better side, fact. It looked like two poor sides, us being the worst of the two. It angers me when he talks about budget, when its been increased on last season. At the end of the day his job is to manage the side and set us up to win matches. We had James, Turnbull, Joyce, Dawson, Shaw all feature last night. That for me, is FIVE central midfielders. No wonder we have no width, it was so so poor, i'm just astounded with his response.

Ok Bing, I'm a fan and I bought into the fan-owned model when we reformed in 2010. Since we've been back in the National League it's been a struggle. We're in our 5th season now and it bears a remarkable similarity to the 5 years we spent back in the League after winning the Conference in 2004. Almost constantly fighting relegation with just the odd very sparse high points. We have had no consistency with chairman since Chris Pilsbury stepped down after a period of sustained success. Without saying too much on a public forum I am close to people who have a good knowledge of what's going on in the club. Most of it is good, but the Jim Harvey business was damaging to the club. I've lost count of the amount of chairmen we've had but it's 7 I think and you don't see them around the club after they've stepped down. You can draw your on conclusions from that. I don't really know many of the current board that well, but I do know there is always a shortage of good candidates and people have to be co-opted on. The best people at this club are the likes of Alan Tarbuck, Gary Talbot and Ian Swettenham, but they are not directors. I don't go to CFU meetings because I'm generally busy on a Thursday evening, but I intend to go to the next one. I can only hope that the right decision can be taken at tonight's emergency board meeting and we can all pull together in what's looking like a relegation battle.
