There has been pressure from the supporters to sack the manager due to his poor results, which is understandable I would be interested to know how the decision was taken. Was a meeting of the Board convened and voted upon, if so, how many members of the Board were present or was the decision taken by the CEO. As a fans owned club I think that transparency is important

Hi Henry
The whole CFU Board will have been asked to vote on the Manager's position and the decision would obviously of been what the majority vote was.
When Steve Burr was sacked, 11 votes were cast at that time and each one voted in favour of sacking the manager.
Hope this helps.

'The best manager in non-league'........if you hand him a £1 million budget first.

Burr ended up taking us backwards and might well have got us relegated if we didn't sack him when we did, but to be fair to him he did give us what's been easily our best Conference season so far. Can't really argue with 12th place and a run to the 2nd Roind of the Cup.
Not sure where it went wrong for him really. He seemed to lose the plot almost overnight.

Is this documented anywhere publicly?
Minutes / recorded vote?

I don’t think he would have, although aware that I’m probably in the minority with that view. McCarthy managed 9 points out of those final four games but it turned out 3 would have been enough to stay up. I think we’d have beaten already relegated Welling even with Burr, as on the day Welling turned in one of the worst performances I’ve ever seen at the Deva.
