I would let NFBF off but no-one else who is Conservative thanks haha. I'd have as many Tories as fancy it over one single IRA supporting Marxist. And yet the only one who has 'jumped into bed with terrorists' is the actual serving Prime Minister with the UDA supported DUP propping her up. Funny old game isn't it petal..

The DUP, like Sinn Fein, are a political party. The DUP have links to the UDA just like Sinn Fein have links to the IRA. The difference being that Theresa May (who I've got no time for since the release of the last Tory manifesto btw) hasn't attended memorial services for UDA members. Personally I don't think memorialising the likes of those responsible for the Warrington bombing either or funny or a game but you just keep condescending & maybe you'll convince me eh?

Well you clearly picked it up from one rag or another, Daily Mail or not. Not that I have to justify my opinions & I'm certainly not going to get into a debate on politics on a football forum but suffice to say as a serving soldier I have very little time for anyone, particularly British politicians, whose sympathies lie with a terrorist organisation responsible for the deaths of many Brits, both military & civilian. PER-SEC

Plenty of chat on here about Marcus Bignot being a leading contender for the manager's job. I'm not especially familiar with him (though knew the name), so looked him up on google.
He's black. How nice that not even the slightest hint in the various threads commented on that - exactly how it should be, and quite encouraging really.
We've had a black manager before, and it's really good to see there isn't a ghastly fringe amongst our fanbase for whom another black manager would in any way be worth commenting upon. Clearly it's not even something anyone even notices anymore. Whoever's the best man for the job gets it, end of. Welcome to 2017 mate. Might be 2017, but let's face it many footy fans are still stuck in the seventies. I wonder what the response would be to an openly gay candidate?

It was a response to the mention of Tories & Conservatives actually but don't stop being smug, wouldn't want you going into withdrawal.

It was a tongue-in-cheek remark at the wide eyed amazement of the OP that nobody had started a hate campaign against Bignot. Take your point but I honestly think most people wouldn't be bothered as long as the results go the right way.

Have you served in the military? You should have mentioned it!

why dont we go the full hog and get ex president obahma in as manager, julian clary as his assistant and martin adams as kitman, should be enough there to keep everybody happy, unless theres some male chauvinists out there we could sack platty the groundsman and get charlie dimmock in to piss them off

I still don't think there is an issue pointing out that things have moved on a little and the fact that race isn't an issue amongst the majority of football fans these days since for any supporters that stood behind the goal at Sealand Road will remember the chants of "Pull the trigger, shoot that ******".
With regards your second sentence I agree - people wouldn't be that bothered............"as long as results go the right way". Not great that is it?

I only meant that if a manager's winning they'll be supported & if they're not then they won't (to different degrees) regardless of race, sexuality etc. That's just my opinion though, maybe I'm overly optimistic.

And anyhow, haven't we tried that before?

A Black Manager in 2017, who'd thought?
They must be all flying their nest from the top floor of rosies.
Doesn't matter his colour, and it really should be a non-issue. Decent record. Knows the league. Has useful contacts I bet. Can see why he will be favourite.
