As I have already said Sir Fred it's surely about recent success in our league without an open cheque book. And he has certainly had that without doubt. Ok people are entitled to their opinion on here but I like yourself was very disappointed to see that thread this evening. There is no other name being branded about who has had as much success as him recently. I know we are agreed on leaving the past in it. We mustn't go down the road of appointing based on past leagacy from 20 odd years ago 🙄.

Did you READ the Daily Mail article? What's your opinion on that? Chester's next managerial appointnent is the most important in the history of the reformed Chester FC. Do you truly understand exactly why he was sacked from Grimsby?

Did you READ the Daily Mail article? What's your opinion on that? Chester's next managerial appointnent is the most important in the history of the reformed Chester FC. Do you truly understand exactly why he was sacked from Grimsby? Here is a response to your points. I agree entirely that the next appointment is arguably the most important in the history of our club. On the evidence of Tuesday nights game it certainly won't be a quick fix and getting the right person to secure our conference status is vital of course. I have been watching us for nearly 30 years and like many others long for a return to league football. I am realistic enough however to know that this is some way off at present. We need someone with a track record of building things up over a sustained period. I have first hand info regarding the situation at Grimsby. Yes he told players that were not in his plans what is he supposed to do if he believes they must go in order to improve things. I have witnessed what he had built up at Moors and they are still benefiting from the work he did today. Btw I live close to Solihull Moors ground and see a bit of them when I can't get to watch us. I understand that the Grimsby thing raises an eye brow but having the info that I do I wouldn't be put off giving him a chance to manage Our club. I hope that answers your questions. Who do you feel is the best option for our next manager?
