Appointed Head of Scouting at Halifax - why couldn't we have done that?

Good luck to them, must have used an average of 40 players a season with us. If understand employing him on a staff basis but as a scout, not sure there!
Good luck to him anyway, always a welcome figure at Chester FC

For Halifax's sake, thankfully there is a transfer window to work within. The revolving door policy (while successful) has most certainly held us back recently.

He had such an advantage over all the other teams, anyone could have done what he did,the minute the playing field leveled he was found out.

Anyone could have won three league titles in a row?

Which is a very polite way of saying they are talking absolute horse dung, well done on your restraint Rio!. Even a fan-owned role model club like AFC Wimbledon really struggled to work their way up into the conference with far bigger resources and playing budget than we ever had (once they got going), and you can see how teams like FC United with a decent fan base and budget also haven't been able to climb. Youngy is a legend, and for good reason.

AFC Wimbledon, FCUM, Halifax, Darlington, Telford - they all made quick progress but none of them won leagues in each of their first three seasons.

So if we were relegated could we guarantee we would bounce back in the first attempt? I am not so sure. He did it twice and for that has to be regarded as a legendary figure in our history as a football club.
