Strong rumours doing the rounds of late to the effect that their players haven't been paid since July. Let's hope all of their wages are being saved for a mega-Alabi tribunal fee! Doubtful we'll actually get much at all if this is true.

Wasn't Palios quoted last summer saying that it was "promotion or bust"? If the above is true, then it would explain their poor performances so far this season. Casts doubt over whether we will get what we want for Alabi too, won't it?

Will explain why they've offered nothing for Alabi.
Always felt that they'd struggle if they didn't bounce back straight away.
The parachute payments dry up and they're left with a huge wage bill that they are unable to sustain.

To quote a TRFC supporting mate. Those rumours are 'bollocks'.
PFA would have stepped in by now if that were the case and they would have been placed under a transfer embargo.
The fact is their manager had a similar summer recruitment wise as McCarthy for us and is left with a completely unbalanced side with zero pace at the back.
They wouldn't be surprised if they were in this situation come March though...

A Rovers-supporting friend of mine reckons they were woefully under-prepared for the season, with only three pre-season games. That could be the reason for the poor start.
Looking forward as ever to our visit to Prenton Park.

Nicola Palios has taken to twitter to dismiss the rumour N Old adage. No smoke without fire. Watch this space. Nah, Ive got it on good authority that it's bollocks. Season ticket money came in during that time. If players hadn't been paid PFA would have had to have stood in and club placed under transfer embargo. They also wouldn't have been able to sign anyone.

Although clearly they are struggling in terms of performances this season regardless of the finances (although I suspect that they are not good in that regard either). It does rather act as a timely counter to the 'we need businessman ownership' twaddle from some on here...
