Liking a tweet from a Dover player after our defeat today. I noticed this, it doesn't look very good does it. If I was a player after another pathetic result I wouldn't be liking people's statuses especially if it was the team you played!

Sums up the lethargy of this squad. They are going to need an absolute rocket from whoever comes in. It's all part of the apathy that has engulfed the playing side under the previous manager.

Depends what was in the tweet. Perhaps the Dover player said we were unlucky and wished us luck?
Liking that tweet is different than liking the following tweet:
Chester were crap and will be relegated.
However you can't discipline someone from acknowledging the truth

I'm suprised more hasn't been made of this. Personally I think it's disgraceful. We've just been dicked 4-0 and we're sinking like a stone and one our players is giving it high fives with an opponent. It might well be the least of our problems at the moment but give your head a wobble James.

Why are we making so much of this he might be a mate of His , some people just feel the need to find any little thing to moan about.

Last week Akintunde was superb against Ebbsfleet but then a week later is dropped. It should be Shaw who "gives his head a wobble". Bad decision in doing that yesterday. Not seeing much from Harry White at all yet he jumps in front of him in the pecking order.

If he's his 'mate' as you say then I'm pretty sure he could PM him and congratulate him. It might be a little thing to you but this is a sign of the complete apathy that is currently surrounding the club. Of course you can congratulate your opponent on playing well but let's spare a thought for 65 people here who spent good money and a large part of their weekend going to yesterday's game. It's called common sense. Something that is sadly lacking in today's footballer.

Part of me thinks who cares what players are 'liking' and retweeting, but then I also worry that our players don't really hurt when we lose like we do. It's symptomatic of the easy ride they've been given in recent months. It's often said that a manager should be both a player's best friend and worst enemy. It seems like McCarthy only managed half of that.
Twitter is a nightmare isn't it? Got to be the worst invention of the 21st Century. Just a breeding ground for moronic conversation and a platform for toxic t**ts like Piers Morgan, Katie Hopkins and that rich orange man-child those clowns across the pond elected as their president.

Just got home from 4 days away in Kent. I had a great time apart from between 3.00 and 4.50 on Saturday. I stand by the statement that I made early this morning that this squad is nowhere near as good as most people think it is. Believe me Dover were bang average, but they players that could do basic football skills like control a ball, pass a ball, hit the ball hard in the direction of the goal, block any shots before they troubled the GK, etc. Our team did not possess any of the above basic skills. With the possible exception of Kingsley James (who does need to harness his obvious energy), the ex Macclesfield players are rubbish. Unless the new manager can get out of them what Askey did they will be part of a relegated side. Neither have I seen anything from our 4 strikers that makes be feel that all of them will struggle to get into double figures. Don't get me started on Joyce, Dawson and Mahon. As I said earlier the only bright spot yesterday was when Matty Waters came on for his 18 minute cameo. Tom Shaw disappoints me that he's not showing any leadership from the pitch.

Agreed. The easily offended brigade who are now trying to make out Phil Neville is a racist because he compared two South East Asian players illustrate what a destructive and nasty tool it is.

If it had been Chappel would it be a none story? Even more so given he's largely irrelevant at the moment.
