I know we have had success with Ryan Astles and I was looking at a few welsh teams to scout, saw Connah's Quay play Helskini in the Europa league, they had a lad in Central midfield called Declan Poole, great engine and only just turned 22. Got nominated for goal of the season last season for a great volley against TNS.
He is injured at the moment but feel he could be what we need in January with a limited budget players from the Welsh Premier league may be the gambles we need to take.
Anyone seen him play? and what are all your thoughts on WPL players? High enough quality?

Henry Jones has been doing well at Fylde, moved to them from Bangor in the summer. I'd much prefer us to gamble on exciting young players from any "lesser" leagues. Although with our current predicament we can't be gambling.

I'm sure that there are plenty of players in the WPL that could do well for us, but I doubt we could afford the transfer fee.
The key is signing them up at the right time which is why we need a good scouting network.

Not WPL, but Alfons Fosu-Mensah at Airbus is a good player, won't be their for too long. Has two good feet and built like Alabi. Has a decent turn of pace too.
