Just an idea, whoever comes in we need to ensure that the new manager has the best possible start and what better way to kick start another fundraiser to allow him to bring some new blood in straight away. Thoughts ....

Definitely, easy option ask CFU members to donate 10 pound a month for the next 3 months.
Alternatively these options below
Each member introduces another two members to the CFU.
Each seals lottery member introduces another member
Directors of the day for 2 people 400-500 pound includes meal, meet players, on the pitch before the game, draw the 50/50, framed photo, signed ball plus directors page in program naming favourite players and experienced with Chester.
Corporate CFU membership 500 pound a company max 23 includes lounge access and meal for 4 people 1 game a year. A page in the program shared with each other sponsor. The day of their match they get a whole page.
Golden goal each turnstile has 90 tickets 1-90 of different colours, blue, yellow, green etc. Cost of a pound a ticket the fan chooses their minute and takes corresponding ticket. For example we take 450 pound 225 goes the squad builder fund the rest in the pot for the winners, if 3 tickets have the golden goal it's 75 pound each.
The biggest fund raiser is a 4g pitch, Airbus. Nomads are making a lot of revenue from their pitches. Sutton in our league my friend reckons make at least 300k a year from the pitch. In ground wifi is also a huge marketing coup costs about 16k for our stadium but could easily get your money back ten fold.
Just ideas but worth money to the club and it's time as fans we play a bigger part and start building bigger playing budgets.

In the last CFU meeting, Mark Maguire announced plans were in place for a 100 club with each being charged £1000 to be part of an exclusive Club - don't have any more details

Could also be a great time to re launch Squad builder or a crowdfunder once Marcus has reviewed his troops

I understand many cant as i'm usually one of them.
I say it's worth a try.

Or we could just ask Tranmere to cough up for Alabi.

The absolute right time fpr the fundraising committee to be relaunched? The club have been looking for help on the fundraising side for a few months now, not a single person has offered any help unfortunately. Hopefully this appointment will instill some new confidence in the club and someone will come forward.

There were issues previously with this committee. Surely a reconvening meeting and an attempt to iron out any issues that had arisen with the previous very succesful fundraisers would be preferable to scorched earth and start again? Why would we let the experience of these folks go to waste?

The biggest issue the committee had was that it met and came up with various ideas but those ideas didn't go anywhere and certainly weren't acted upon.
They became disillusioned and thought it pointless.
Those available and who had genuine contacts do do these things will not be encouraged back so it's no wonder you can't get anyone.

Well let’s be proactive and do something about it, maybe with a bit more of a plan and direction this time? nwas do you have the contacts to revive this committee?
