Anyone who watches this on BT sports, have you noticed our camera seems to be a much poorer quality then any of the other games shown? It's juddery and hard to watch, noticed for a couple of weeks now.
It's odd as the highlights on the YouTube page are always quite decent, is the camera that records the BT sports highlights the same one/the clubs? If so may be worth looking into?

From memory wasn't there a silly OTT response from certain previous board members about his efforts?

Can games not be recorded from a higher viewing platform? Better quality filming and maybe there is a market for a revenue stream? Dependant upon improved performances of course!

The only higher platform would be on the roof of the stand - BT Sport do this for our live home games but it probably isn't worth it for us to do.

Could they not just film from the East Stand instead? Up by the media lot?

Could they not just film from the East Stand instead? Up by the media lot? It'll make the ground look even more tinpot.

If, like me, you have a vantage point in the West Stand it makes the Deva look a bit bigger than it actually is staring at the East Stand. Sun would be an issue if filming on the other side, as well.

Hi guys, Just read this thread. I' ll try and reply. With regards to the BT shaking picture, I have noticed this and I don't know why this should be. The only thing I can think is there is a problem with the file conversion. As is stated it runs fine on you tube and the master that I have runs fine. I hand a copy of the match recorded on a pen drive. I have not seen the stuff on that but on my tests it seemed fine and if you tube is ok it's not the pd. I think it may be something to do with BT because my camera is not BT's camera. They seem to use their own file ext. Just for the record the match is recorded in full HD 1280x 720.
With regard to shooting from the West stand. As is stated the sun is an issue. There would be increased height there but it's not worth the compromise. With regards to a gantry, I have tried for 18 years to get one without success. We had one for a short spell when our American ' Friend ' was here for a few weeks, until one Saturday I turned up it had gone. Gary Kent said the company turned up on Friday night and dismantled it because it hadn't been paid for.
I endeavour to produce footage at the best quality I can provide and I am disappointed as everyone else with the quality of the footage. We now have a Guy shooting stuff on BT's camera, I'll be interested to see how that turns out.
With regard to revenue raising, charging for footage. This proved unpopular with fans. I don't know how much money the Club actually made from Blues player on the old platform, as i was not privvy to that information.
Sorry this is an epic post, but felt you deserved an explanation.

Dave NATV I was thinking maybe Downloads or DvDs (For old skool fans) of Goals or full games like Wrexham, Tranmere could be an ideal Christmas gift. Packaged, promoted well enough and If reasonably priced, I as an Exile would be interested.
