Hi all,
thought we could use a nice friendly discussion to brighten up our Wednesdays.
So who is your favourite current player in the squad?
Who is your guilty pleasure? e.g. who you like but is actually a bit crap and the rest of the fan base don't rate him
Who is your least favourite squad member?
Mine is:
Kingsley James
Rowe-Turner (Just for Saturday performance)
John McCombe

I love Astles. He's just what a lower league centre half should be - brave, determined and bloody massive!
I think all players (or certainly the new ones at least) should have a clean slate under Bignot, so will reserve my decision on the other two.

I think Ryan Astles too. I certainly wouldn't want to tell him otherwise, there's not many people you see who fill a doorway!

Fave: Akintunde and Astles for differing reasons. One gets fans off their feet the other takes opposition players off their feet
Guilty Pleasure: Rowe- Turner.
Least: Jordan Chappel.

Akintunde Lynch (wouldn't say people don't rate him but nobody seems convinced entirely) Chappell Lynch is a good shout. I don't think he's a bad keeper and some people have been harsh on him of late.

Favourite is Craig Mahon. Great ambassador for the club and always gives the place a lift when he goes on one of his runs. A top footballer and professional.
Guilty pleasure. Jordan Chapell. Not a starter but think he has a lot to offer off the bench. When he's on he's a good attacking player and can be a threat. He is lightweight though and relies solely on pace. He's far from the being the worst player some fans would have you believe. Plus he's my daughters favourite 😊
Worst. Always support anyone that wears the shirt but Wade Joyce frustrates the hell out of me. He will win the ball with a decent tackle but the will lose the ball straight away with a shocking attempt at a pass. Really don't know if he's a decent footballer or not because I've never seen him do anything of note.

All good answers. I support anyone in the shirt but have to say Chappell to me is the one that I dread when he is announced to be starting or coming on etc....
shout out to Ryan Astles who to me like lobster said is just a great non-league defender and any national league side needs one of them!

Favourite player - Ryan Astles - just an absolute man mountain, loves a crunching tackle and plays the odd beautiful Hollywood ball in behind the opposition's defence. Guilty pleasure - Rowe-Turner - he's far better than a lot of people on here have given him credit for. Thought he played well even when McCarthy's woeful tactics made the full backs' jobs nigh on impossible. He's been far, far better than his counterpart at right back, that much is certain. Least favourite - Jordan Chappell - how this lad has managed to get three years of wages out of our back pockets is absolutely criminal. Woeful "footballer".

Hi all what a terrible thing to put up here, We should be encourage our players not find a way to slag of a player , By all means say your favourite but to say least is disrespectful and does not help the players at all.

Its easy to use a forum behind a screen to slag someone off why dont talk to the player face to face in the Blues Bar ,They are our players and we should be behind them not stabbing in the back on hereIts a form of bullying like kids in a school yard.

Favourite Player: Mahon Guilty pleasure ( can we say this 😳) : Waters Least favourite: I don't really have one, out am anxious when some players are selected, though always wish them well.
Is that sitting on the fence to much.
Put it this way if Chappel or Joyce score a goal I'll cheer and be delighted 😀

Favourite: Akintunde
I can't comment on the new faces as I haven't seen enough of them and as mentioned, I'm not going to publicly say who my least favourite is as it's not fair.

In fairness it's only one player who's getting slated here. He's got the same name as a glamour model and is as about talented as her!!

Folks, its asking to name your least favourite player, not person.
I haven't seen enough of anyone this season to mention one, but last season my least favourite was Elliot Durrell, purely because he was so inconsistent, doesn't mean he is not a nice guy and all that. Lets not get too oversensitive.

Exactly. As if people are worrying about hurting professional athletes’ feelings by criticising them.

Indeed. If Jordan Chappell can't handle the fact that people on the internet think he's crap then he's in the wrong business.

Favourite: Craig Mahon - one of the best players in this league on his day in my opinion, loves Chester
Guilty Pleasure (weird): Liam Davies - I didn't see his apparent dire display at Aldershot but I thought he played well in the friendlies and has got a sweet strike on him. I think he's one of those that would play well in a number 10 role, but isn't good enough to build a team around a la Fear the Beard Thompson.
Least Favourite: Jordan Chapell - Plays like Maradonna once in a blue moon but other than that totally ineffective, especially in a struggling team. People say he lives off his pace but I can't remember the last time he beat a man down the wing.

My favourite player has to be Ryan Astles. During our barren spell he often seemed like he was the only player who gave a shit.
Guilty pleasure. I haven't seen much of Matty Waters as he rarely gets on, but I thought in his 18 minutes at Dover he looked a player. He may or may not be of a standard for this league, but I certainly hope he makes it. We definitely need to grow our own.
I won't burden any player with this accolade, but pretty much any of them (Astles apart) could fit here on 2017 performances.
