Interesting reading his comments in the bleeter. At the end of the day the lad's only 22? Worth keeping around next season? Won't be costing us much and at an age when he could continue to develop and improve. Has also showed the right attitude by not throwing his toys out of the pram through lack of game time?

I thinks it's hard to judge the lad, he's not really had a chance to show if he's any good.

I go to all of the matches but I still can't judge him, but I think he is a good squad player, he's only young and don't forget he was on the books for Sunderland and has played for ST Johnstone.

He's not a player we need next season, id rather we utilise/promote another youth teamer than have a player who ultimately can only pass a few yards, isnt particularly fast/tall/strong or a good tackler, we need to have players with some area or ability about you that can give the team some impetus/help in some fashion - and in that regard he doesnt aid us unfortunately.
If we are struggling budget wise (which i believe is one of the reasons we signed him) we just need to rely on the youth and the odd loanee - which is what it in the main looks like McCarthy is doing and hope this contunues to a greater degree next season as this (and possibly Sams departure financially) will help us invest slightly more for extended contracts for the core players like Alabi and Astles that we can continue to build a better future around.

If there's a 16/17 year old better than this 22/23 year old I would agree. I'm sure Macca would as well.

I'd hang on to Joyce just for the fact of who his dad is, if he doesn't know a boat load of decent lads then I don't know who would and that perhaps could benefit us

I haven't been Wade's biggest fan based on his brief appearances from the. bench. Just couldn't see what he brought to the Chester FC party but I was totally won over by his performance at Dagenham last Saturday I would definitely keep him.

I like Wade, think he does a very unfashionable job - putting a foot in, tracking runners, closing down, closing space in front of the back four. Unless you're actually looking out for those roles, you tend not to notice them. Yes he's been at bigger clubs, but I know how highly he rates the set up at Chester - the training regime, coaching and job Mccarthy is doing. I'd keep him on, undoubtedly.

He's an extra body and he's cheap. Keep him.
