For me this round is all about simply getting through to the round we traditionally entered the competition in, one we have only reached once in recent years which is poor. As others have said I'd take the most straightforward-looking home tie against low ranked opposition. Rarely that simple though and my gut feeling is we will be away to someone like Fylde.

Any team at The Deva will do - get through and it’s £12.5k in the coffers for starters.

We always get tricky not glamorous away days.
Love to know our percentage of home ties over the years.
I just want a nice home draw, lets get through this round as the last two years at Alty and Southport have seen some of the worst performances ever.

3 out of the last 4 draws we have played teams from our own division.
Was only Stockport away we played a team in a lower league and that's the only team we have beaten to get through to round 1.

Midtable in the Conference North. Away again, not ideal, but could be worse.

I will be away on holiday, but I wish I were here for that. It's very winnable, but also a potential banana skin. I believe that MB will be better at motivating the players than JM was. We need to get at least 1,000 fans there for that.

That's right, I forgot we were drawn at home to Halifax, that was the game where some of their fans didn't behave themselves. Then it went to a replay, which we lost. Soccerbase doesn't mention the home game, just the replay for some reason.

Not a bad draw. Good food and easy to get there from by base in Solihull👍😀

I’m happy with this draw. Potential banana skin but it could’ve been a lot worse. Looking forward to this now especially with the food they have on offer in a proper stadium. We should be able to take at least a 700-strong following down there. Come On You Blues!

Not a bad draw. Good food and easy to get there from by base in Solihull👍😀 Was going to say you've dropped on with this draw! It's about 2hr from Sheffield where I'm based, so similar to a home game for me. Will be going to this and I think the £12.5k we get for getting to the first round is vital if MB needs any players in come January.

Sqzl I was chuffed when I discovered our opponents whilst at my desk this afternoon. I agree with your thoughts that it could provide some £ for MB if it should be needed. RIO says that we could bring 700. I'd like to see us force them to open up the other half of the terrace behind the goal. Guess our following will hinge on the tranmere and woking results. As there is a long way to go in getting people back on side.
