WWe all know that this season is not going as planned. But how much money does our club need? Club members talk about bringing youth player's into the first team and selling them on. We have done this with Sam Hughes and we are no closer to getting promoted. We are still paying off our last two managers dew to contracts that are to big a financial Burden for us. So we raise £10,000 for new players and we stay up? This league is killing our club.

You need a large budget to sustain promotion challenges in this league, other than the odd exception, such as Macc who somehow manage it every year, maybe they just have the winning mentality around the club that helps.
For a club like us, having the extra money helps, but doesn't guarantee success, look at this and last seasons budgets compared to that when we finished 12th.
For us to get promoted we would just need one of those seasons where something just clicks, like what Cowley nearly did at Braintree, like what seems to happening at Woking now, like what started to happen under McCarthy and Sharps last season.
Cup runs and youth sales help, I imagine if we got £500k from somewhere we would invest in infrastructure as well as the playing squad, but it wouldn't last forever and it would have to coincide with one of those seasons where it just goes right.
Personally, promotion isn't even on the agenda. I'm just sick of these lifeless seasons where we play poor football, get knocked out of both cups at the first time of asking, limp over the finish line in the league and spend our reserves sacking managers. For the next 5 years I would take mid-table finishes with a half-decent team and the chance of a couple of decent cup draws, living in the hope that we'll just have one of those seasons where we might scrape into the play-offs.
