For those old enough to remember Mike Pedgic's disastrous managerial time with us, a player at the time, Julian Alsford, told me how the players were so humiliated by him they were 'scared' when playing. He was OTT with anyone who made an error. Consequently the team froze up as a group. I only bring this up because I can't believe the players wouldn't have been up for today. Why was it necessary to humiliate them afterwards in front of the few fans who stayed behind? Odd relationship.

And you're talking bollocks

Absolute garbage, the players should be humiliated if they perform like that. Good for Marcus Bignot for having the bollocks to ruffle a few feathers. Something long overdue.

Humiliated themselves by the sound of thing's tbh. Someone else commented somewhere that MB always has the players out in a huddle/team talk on the pitch post match. Sorry state of affairs if you cant challenge someone playing for you. Most fan's will accept player's limitation's but it's the appearance not not giving a toss that hurt's/anger's.

They certainly had a long discussion after the game. We have no idea what was said. It’s not humiliation at all. I’d hoped to speak with MB after the game but couldn’t as the abuse he was going to get coming any closer was clearly evident. His post match comments were spot on. No idea if it’s viable to move out the dross that are not up to this level but it needs to be.

These lads have been on easy street under Macca for the last couple of seasons, who refused to ever utter a negative word. Bignot is at least showing that he understands the fans and agrees to a certain extent. To turn this around within 3 or 4 weeks is expecting too much, he is working with someone's else's unbalanced squad. He is immune from criticism at this stage imo.

So the manager takes no responsibility for the performance? And the players are all awful? I don't believe so. Why were they not set up for this important game?
Spelling of Pejic...sincere apologies for my error.

Spot on Si - Bignot has to turn this useless bunch around somehow he understands and is critItal something the fantasist Mccarthy nevery did - I'm so confident that Bignother given a clean sheet would get us a good squad but my god he is hamstrung by the shit he has inherited

How on earth can he be criticised? Sir Alex would struggle with these clowns. As Si says, it's been easy street and these numpties have had it too easy for too long. Me personally, if they're going to perform like that every week then they'll continue to get dogs abuse from me. Make a tackle you fuckwits. Make genuine attempts to head the football. Look like you actually have some pride in yourself and the shirt you are wearing.

I stayed at the ground until about 5:40pm and spoke to the players, Maguire and Bignot outside the ground. Had a long chat with Bignot and Maguire about where we go from here. Bignot mentions in this league you have tall physical players and small speedy players, and in our squad we only have something in the middle, with the exception of Akintunde, Astles etc.. he’s said if the players can’t commit to full time football they are free to leave and Bignot will go into the loan market (he mentions is not ideal) to replace these players. Says the new winger/striker he has brought in as he will run his balls off for the cause and is a strong character. Seems Bignot is ready to make the changes.

It'll be intersting to hear what the PFU have to say about this. You can bet your life some of these weasels have reported it already. One or two struggled to make training during Jon's easy street. They certainly don't want more training!

Thanks for your info d mcnally. As you may well know I am firmly in the MB camp and am hopeful he can sort us out. His comments are reasonable. We are certainly unbalanced at present that’s for sure. You have to assume homework has been done before he announced this full time training? As I’ve already mentioned elsewhere we need 5/6 new players to have any chance this season. The fact the previous regime and the board has seemingly allowed us to be taken for an easy ride isn’t good enough.

If you ask me, Bignot is a breath of fresh air amongst the horrible STENCH lingering from the Cuck's regime. Christ, can you imagine what sort of claptrap the predecessor would've come out with after that pathetic display? I really do hope Bignot sticks around when we go down at the end of this season.
Edit: Also agree with Big Si, this shower have had it easy under their good pal "Macca" - notice Tom Shaw referring to Bignot in the Chron yesterday as "the manager" which is how it should be. Things have to change and it looks like they are.

Schydyn i get why you talk about relegation especially after today. After today’s game there is little to be positive about I agree. We have to hope he can get rid of 5/6 and replace them with players. Who want to fully commit to the cause that’s seemed onviously lacking today or at least they lacked the ability for what was required. We had over 500 present today following a side that either couldn’t be bothered or lack the required ability I suspect it may well be the later?

Whilst it's gratifying for the fans to vent their spleen, myself included today, if this was a successful tactic, then why don't we see it more often with other clubs? Probably because it doesn't work.

It's called humiliation. To do it publicly enmasse is a bit worrying. There is no need to prove a point like that. To give a classroom situation in a school (we have all been there), if a few kids need a word you don't, or shouldn't keep the whole class back. Leads to resentment. That being said I respect him for apologizing to fans in person in the video clip. So I am uncertain of the way forward with his relationship with the players....are they all 'crap' or do they just need motivating etc.

The players deserve to be humiliated they are taking the piss out of the fans every week ! If they are not man enough to take it then leave and we can sign some players who actually give a shit!

I agree with the posts above. If you didn't turn up to work with the right attitude then you would get a bollocking. They needed to hear the 400+ fans that spent there hard earned money to watch an awful performance that could have boosted the clubs finances.

Nobody would be as angry as this if the players gave their all but just weren't good enough, but when they don't even TRY, that's what gets everybody's back up!
