It's been said for many years, sometimes it's better to be relegated to come back stronger.
Are we coming close to that scenario?
Ideally, I don't want this to happen but maybe.....
What do others think particularly after today's perf

It wouldn't be so bad if they went down with a battle but this lot are completely gutless and as somebody has pointed out in another thread they seem genuinely suprised at the criticism thrown their way. JM has completely ripped the heart out of this club and the team are his gift that keeps giving.

I know this doesn't really answer your question but I'm almost certain that we will be relegated this season. As I've said elsewhere, I hope Bignot sticks with us in that event, as he really cannot be judged on this season given the absolute mess he has inherited.
If we do go down, which looks highly probable, at least we'll enjoy more local trips/days out and have decent followings coming to the Deva instead of meekly surrendering to jobbers like Boreham Wood and their 27 travelling support. This league is shit.
I honestly believe that the boom or bust "Conference at all costs" vanity project right at the beginning has led us to this state - a part-time club fighting the tide in a further professionalising full-time league. There's nothing we can do about that now.

You could look at Halifax, on the other hand, who bounced straight back after one season in the North and have started this season pretty well. In fact aside from the awful half-season that got them relegated they've fared a lot better in this league than we have.
The worry though is that the North is becoming stronger and stronger, as shown by the fact that we've just been beaten comfortably by a side not even in its top half.
