I'm assuming we're training this morning in MB's brave new world so I was thinking how will he go about getting this lot up for next Saturday?
His anger on Saturday was plain to see and I think he would have had strong words to say behind the scenes in the immediate aftermath. But, he's also gone public saying he won't lambast the team and destroy their confidence (what little they have).
So, I reckon he's got a very fine line to tread as he knows he's stuck with what he's got at the moment. It would be easy for there to be a backlash if he gets it wrong OR he could get the response he's looking for. I suppose you can argue that is what he's paid for but I think the next few days will also be a useful indicator, to both him and us, of whether there's sufficient character in this lot to respond positively.
I really get the feeling that the next couple of weeks are now pivotal in how the rest of the season pans out.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall

It’s all down to man management you cannot wade into players telling them they are not good enough even if there not; most of the squad are here until the end of the season some have got another year on top of that. They are not going to walk away so he will have to get the best out of them; makes me laugh the way some people think we can just sack them all and bring in a whole new team.Mr Bignot has got a very hard job on his hands and I think after Saturday and his reaction after the game the penny has dropped .

Anyone think Marcus Bignot may chuck his hand in the way it's going . . . or will he hope to get some players out and new blood in, and stick around. He certainly isn't a happy bunny the way it is going so far.

I can’t help thinking that it’s all about the character/attitude of the players and that without that, an extra days training is unlikely to make much difference.
The fact that MB has had a honeymoon period of 2 games only (Maidenhead and Tranmere) worries me. Saturday felt like being back in the JM era. The only thing I can think is that the lack of competition for places breeds complacency.
We also desperately need some speed and some creativity in the team.
But now we will get no FA cup £££s to bring in fresh blood. Has he been foiled by turkeys not wanting to vote for Christmas?
MB talked about begging, borrowing and stealing players in the alternative. I hope he can call in some serious favours because some loanees playing U23 for bigger clubs are not the answer - they have v rarely worked in the past because they don’t have the physicality.
If this team can’t turn it on for Saturday and put in a decent display then I think we will have our answer.

It’s going to be interesting how this is going to pan out banging people’s heads together when you have a squad of 42 like Ferguson did at Man Utd might work but try doing it when you only have bare bones and Yts players as back up, let’s see what happens.

I think he'll say... "last Saturday has gone - nothing can be done about the past - but everything can be done about the future. Knuckle down, give me 100% on the training pitch and during 90 minutes and let's see where that takes us."

I'd get the youth team lads into first team training and put them up against that starting 11 from Saturday.
I'd have the belongings of from their lockers on standby as well. Anyone who doesn't put the effort in will be getting their belongings thrown at them and then told to go down the job centre.

What does Bignot say to the players this morning?
Hello! Hello! Where are you all, are you all hiding from me? Come out this isn’t funny, we’re supposed to be training full time now!
They’re not contracted to train on Mondays..............

If he has not already had one he needs a no holds barred, but no blame, open discussion with the whole squad. This gives the players the opportunity to let off steam, voice their frustrations, and if they feel so inclined contribute their thoughts on the way forward. Some will say nothing or go with the flow not wanting to upset their mates, other will genuinely want to find solutions. If Marcus has already "lost" the bulk of the squad he will be able to tell from their reaction, in which case we are in deep trouble. A real test of his man management skills. What he must do is instil a sense of responsibility and pride into as many as possible and select from them, leaving the rest to their own devices. If this means playing the academy graduates then so be it, at least we the fans will know that they care and we will get fully behind them. I'd rather watch a bunch of youngsters pulling their tripe out than a collection of indifferent journeyman who don't care if they win or not. We won't win much either way, but at least we might feel some pride in our team. On the other hand perhaps the current first choice 15 might just get the message, but don't hold your breath.

What a pity the so called supporters didn't realise this on Saturday. Granted i agree with all the comments regards the performance, or lack of it, but it can't help the confidence of the players to be booed after 10 minutes for a misplaced pass or constantly having chants of 'what a load of rubbish' , 'your not fit to wear the shirt' 'what a waste of money' etc sang at them. What would their reaction be if their boss verbally abused them for doing a crap job? Do you think it would give them confidence.
This is the time when supporters (Owners) of our Club should be getting behind the team not slagging them off. Only with the support of us all will the club have any chance of getting out of the quagmire left by Burr and his sidekick MaCarthy and surviving. Next two home games are critical to the very survival of our Club so lets forget whats happened so far this season, difficult i know, and get behind the team, management and board from the first whistle until the last and cheer the lads home to 6 much needed points.

What a load of rubbish. The players deserved to hear the fans frustration for that 0 out of 10 performance
Yes everyone should get behind the team at the start, but I certainly won't be happy clapping so called professionals jogging about getting embarrassed by a team from the league below

Sitting in the seats on Saturday, I remarked at the start of the game that most clubs at our level would kill for away support like ours in both terms of numbers and the noise we made. I recall that the general atmosphere was highly positive at the beginning (rightly so as it was the Cup and after Tranmere) and the singing etc even continued when it became apparent that we were in for a long afternoon. Of course we were deflated when Kiddie scored even though it had been on the cards but most were still trying to encourage the team to get back into it at that point It became quieter once it became pretty obvious we were on the way out and felt that sheer frustration and anger then took over. This reached a peak at the final whistle and I felt then that MB was almost "compelled" to show to the players the strength of feeling.
I've said before that personal abuse of the type Halls received is counter-productive and I'm not particularly comfortable with it but the response of the crowd overall was fully justified.
In short, I believe the vast majority of our fans are highly supportive towards the team and are as good if not better than most at trying to encourage the players, it takes a performance of truly staggering mediocrity for them to turn on the team to that extent.
Saturday was such an occasion!

They need to be told, in no uncertain terms that the performance was completely unacceptable. They are experienced professionals, with vast experience of playing, in this league. If performances do not improve, then they should find other clubs and they will be replaced by people who do want to play, for the shirt. It is now entirely up to them.

Unfortunately they did just that but in a negative way and so got the roasting they deserved.

I hope that the first thing Bignot did was drive straight past the training ground and to Connahs Quay and asked if Horan fancied another season with us. He's the type of player that's needed right now. Someone who won't roll over and will expect the same from others.

As many George Horans as possible was my immediate thought.
