Last Saturday had to go down as an all time low since we reformed the gutless display was hard to stomach but nothing new in our long history of FA Cup exits against lower league sides - Penrith still sticks in my gullet but we need to focus on the most important thing now which is league survival - 2 massive games coming up Boring Wood and Barrow that could define us - those players should be hurting from Saturday humiliation and I think Bignor did the correct thing in forcing them into that- something Mccarthy never did. We have HIS squad and must be patient for Bignot to weed these players out - Aim to stay up then let him build his own team - let's stop the witch hunt etc and get behind the Manager in his quest- time will tell that he will be a great manager for Chester

I really do hope you are correct Sir Fred. There wasn’t much if anything at all that gives me any optimism that are current bunch of players can take us forward. Certainly not in achieving positive results. They are two big back to back home games coming up. A return of minimum 4 points is required you feel. Based on Saturdays showing it’s difficult to see us beating anyone. I hope they prove me wrong by getting some positive results.

FA Cup exits can have an opposite effect and I'm hoping for that on Saturday - it will strange though clapping them on but I hope I'm clapping them off

We have not scored since Maidenhead but, equally worryingly, we're barely making chances.
MB'S approach is correct - to make us hard to beat and to eke out results initially with the rest following. Hopefully, this would keep us in contention until he can really sort this lot out. Kiddie I sincerely hope was a complete aberration though I'm more inclined to see it as highlighting the deep-rooted problems.
However, to win games we need to score goals. To score goals, we need to create chances. Those chances have to be converted by the strikers, predominantly.
I look at our strike force and see:
White - short of match fitness Hannah - not sure what's going on there but at the moment not the player he was Bell - not convinced Akintunde - great potential but needs a goal or something The Derby lad - no idea
On top of this, our creativity at the moment is minimal
All of the above, I believe, is the legacy of the previous incumbent, we all know MB has a massive job on his hands but, as a REAL manager, he'll be aware of all this and will be working on solutions.
So, I agree that the next two games are pivotal to our season. I also feel we need to be looking at 4 points.
How MB approaches these games, the personnel and tactics he employs especially after Saturday's debacle will be interesting but I, for one, will be willing us to win if not only for the players but, more importantly, for MB'S sake

It was a huge game on Saturday and look what happened. I just want to see a reaction this week. Some fight and grit and the ability to grind it out. Thats surely got to be the bare minimum. Borehamwood arent that great a side so the opportunity for 3 points is there.

Sir Fred again I hope you are correct. There needs to be a massive reaction after the Kidderminster display. Some suggested they don’t care or are not bothered. Either way sadly we were outclassed by a side from the league below. We did huff and puff second half but lacked any quality to create much. Chappell had one great chance as I remember. Raffles that’s a great post. It’s going to be hard for people to giving their support regardless as it’s been awful for far too long. Agreed I hope we get a result for MB’s sake. That would give him two wins from 4 league games which wouldn’t be a bad return. We also have barrow to come who are not in the best shape at the moment. The lad from Derby looks quick and lively. We desperately need someone from our midfield to provide him with some service. His pace will cause problems for sides in this league.
