Follwing Championship Manager exploitsThis made me think, what's the furthest from home you've ever watched a match, whether with Chester or otherwise? For me I think it's either Real Mallorca or the Icelandic national stadium.

Torquay away 😂😂. However, when I was on holiday in Lanzarote last year I was quite close to watching a UD Lanzarote match.

Reading it properly, it sounds like he didn't actually go to a match. He just visited the ground and met the chairman.

Imagine if the poor bugger had travelled over to watch us play at Kiddie?
It felt bad enough driving there and back from Chester!

Mine was a Greek match between Kos and Kalymnos - a big local derby no less.
The previous match, Kos won - so Kalymnos, who supply power to Kos, switched it off!
I was only about 12 at the time, but I remember it was a dust pitch and roasting hot. I had to bury my feet in the sand to cool them down!

My furthest trip for football I think was either Famos who at the time played about 1 hour outside Sarajevo in the Bosnian regional 3rd division or Partizan v Red Star in Belgrade.
I'd love to see Chester abroad. Obviously there was the infamous organised Italian friendly in 2004 and the bizarre rumour of a game in North Cyprus. Did anyone on here go and see the blues in the Faroe Islands or have I imagined that happening?!

I've always wanted to find out more about that and how it came about, but details are pretty much non-existant.

Mine is Qingdao Hai-Niu in Shandong province P.R.China. Only went to 1 game which I remember was against Beijing. A bit of a cheat mind, because I was living there at the time. Post match scran with the lads was a bowl of dog soup. I kid you not. Didn't know at the time I was eating it. Wasn't bad though and washed down of course with plenty of Tsingtao (Qingdao) beers.

Watched a lot of footy all over Europe. I lived outside Amsterdam for 5 years but used to watch Feyenoord Home and Away. Watched a few big ones during 10 years in Italy, been to the match by boat in Venice, a few at San Siro, Napoli v Salernitana (Local Derby) . . . . Germany, Liverpool v Alaves in Dortmund, a couple of Bayern Munich games in the old Olympic stadium. One of the scariest though was Olimpia Ljubljana away to Maribor in Slovenia. Blah blah blah. Great fun though PS: Haven't got into Norwegian football even though my local club Mjøndalen play in the second tier and the ground is a 10 minute walk from home. Maybe next season?

Went to LA Galaxy against Vancouver in 2014. Strange atmosphere and the home fans took real offence to our England flag and started singing fuck the queen! This year I did Venezuela v Japan in the U20's World Cup in Daejoen South Korea. Wisla Krakow vs Cracovia is a crazy derby, real hatred in that one

I was in Pomorie, Bulgaria in September, walked past their stadium and saw there was a match 5pm Saturday. When I turned up, loads of cars, no noise.
Turns out it was their training ground and the coaches had left for Bourgas where their home games are played. As their 5pm was our 3pm, I went back to the apartment and listened to Seals Live where Chester got thrashed 4-0 at Dover.
Ironically, by missing this match, Dover is the furthest from Chester I have seen a game. Sunderland is the furthest I have been for football from Bournemouth, Chester lost 3-0. Hideous drive via London to pick my brother up and then back to London the same night.
I flew back from Morocco for the Woking game a couple of years back. My brother also cut short his holiday in Thailand once to see us lose at Forest Green Rovers the year we won the conference.

Seen RCD Mallorca plenty of times. Wanted to go to Las Palmas v Tenerife start of the summer but the robbing bastards wanted €60 each way in a taxi and didn't fancy that as well as a ticket for the 'derby'.
