Bignot was not the answer to take us forward.
I said at the time this was a bad appointment and he is just as bad as McCarthy if not worse.
Why we didn't get Barrow back is beyond me but what do you expect when you have Maguire in charge.
Bignot will take us down mark my words.
He is a clown.

Bignot had less managerial experience at National level than McCarthy. Wait for the clamour from those who are desperate to tell you Maguire is not in charge, it's the board they'll say.

Bignots appointment was a shocker and I said so at the time. I am not after timing.

As we have both said, Bignot was appointed because he fitted the ethos of the club e.g. Community, development etc whereas the real footbal managers were rejected.

Barrow didn't apply for the job - fact.Perhaps that has something to do with him not being appointed as manager?

Barrow didn't have to apply. He should have been approached by the club at least for some talks. This is what happens.

Unfortunately in his quest to give everybody an opportunity the manager is making big mistakes that aren't helping. Last week it was Shaws omission and waters inclusion. Has White done anything that warrants two starts? And this week Chappel. Why oh why is he still getting a strip at this football club. Come on Bignot you must have seen enough to know he's shite?

I agree that there's nothing he can do about this but it's not his fault. To be honest, I'm struggling to think of anybody who could have come in and saved us. You only have to look at the idiots out there today showing zero passion or fight to appreciate what he's up against. Maybe his attempt to kick them up the arse hasn't gone down well but in fairness to him, it's exactly what they needed.
Everybody knows who has done the real harm to our club.

It really must make your weekend when we lose Whopper so you can come on here and say "told you so".... It sickens me when we lose. It didn't have to be this way. Bignot should never have got the job. There were much better footballing candidates out there who would have given us a fighting chance of staying up.

They sanctioned the appointments of Maguire and McCarthy. They are still at the club!

You simply can't say Barrow wouldn't have taken the job. He should have been approached by the club. I can say it. To quote you "we have free speech in this country" If you are telling me I can't say something I'm going to cry to the police, just like you But to do something you don't, I'll explain using logic. Barrow is at retirement age, has done his time and doesn't need the money. Why would he take on an impossible, highly stressful challenge? What does he have to gain? I also really doubt he could do much better. What does he know about non-league football? Is he such amazing manager he can turn Halls into Cafu and Chappell into Bale?

I only contacted the Police you fool because someone threatened physical violence against me on here which is contrary to the malicious communications act of 2003.
So you know for a fact that Barrow doesn't need the money now.......and you know he wouldn't have taken the job as well.
Hilarious.
He might want a challenge for all you know.

Barrow would have been a disastrous appointment. No knowledge of the division, not managed for ages and would have been purely sentimental.
He is rightly a club legend, I wouldn't want that tarnished by this crop of footballers.
Bignot is the man for the job, he sees what needs to change and he's in the process of doing it. Back him.

Pretty sure Barrow was interviewed - it's common knowledge.
As for Bignot, he's fighting a losing battle with this shower but it's nowhere near his fault. When we get relegated, I would prefer he signs up for life with us in the Conference North. The board will never live their decision to retain the services of the CUCK in May down.

Bignot will not sort this out overnight, this will take time. But Bignot, despite your constant views, IS the man to lead us forward, eventually. This is going to be a long process and we might have to take a step back to go forward two steps. Oh what could have been had folks in power actually listened to the supporters back in April. Completely unavoidable situation, really. However, it is what it is and MB is slowly addressing the issues. Not even Chris Wilder (the best manager in the EFL IMO) could get these bunch of jokers playing together. We've got to be patient.

This is the key point. The greatest manager in the world can only do so much at this stage I'm happy with MB, he's definitely made some improvements, but he can't make good players out of rubbish. If he'd been appointed at the end of last season I'm confident we'd be in a much better position Whopper 3 - since you know everything, what is your genius suggestion that we should do now? It's easy to be negative, can you be constructive?

Post by whopper3 on Oct 21, 2017 17:47:05 GMT
If your happy with Bignot you are easily pleased. he will take us down. He is worse than McCarthy.
I haven't seen ONE improvement to be honest.
Some players are even worse
My constructive answer is to sack Maguire and Bignot now and bring in someone who knows something about football.
