So I am away with work tonight in Yorkshire and every few minutes I get an update from Google about the Chester game. Just how invasive into your private life is Google, how the f__k does it know my team etc?

I don't know, I've had similar things. Notifications about the last bus or traffic congestion. I've not asked for it!

Anyone know how to turn these off? I've started getting them recently.

Everybody's lives are on their smartphones these days, which tend to link in your browsing habits, social media feeds and search engines to cater updates and suggestions for each individual.

The most sinister part is that Siri is listening all the time. I can be having a private conversation about something and then Facebook will post an advert for it half an hour later.
Also, I think it's quite appropriate that when I begin to type Deva Chat into Google, it autocompletes with Devastated.
