Despite the result I enjoyed Maidstone last season, ground in town and a club who are spending their money on infrastructure and growing the fanbase. Iβm no fan of the surface though, Iβve seen enough of it to form a judgement and it just isnβt right.
Anyway, looking forward to it, just hopefully no repeat of last season on the pitch!

Who's going and how many does everyone think we're gonna take then? Personally think around 150 blues Leaving Chester at 5.30am and staying down the night. Making a weekend of it, heard itβs a good night out. Early start mate π Iβm on my way to Chester station now.

They should ban those school Government Grant pitches from this league. Gives the home side an unfair advantage. However, what do expect from the joke officials running the Conference? We've won 2 of 8 home games this season, while winning 5 of our last 6 away. Home advantage it is not, and never has been. Someone further up talked about the new stand... it is now open and that's where you'll be. It'll be segregated but it's shared between home and away fans. Safe journey to those visitingΒ Yes it is an unfair advantage. No doubt. A joke pitch for a joke league! Twitter

I feel sorry for Bignot who is stuck with the players that McCarthy signed. McCarthy is one of the worst managers we have ever had! At least most of the others managed us in League football.

Totally agree. what the f... were you thinking jon mcarthy? WHAT? I'm not one of those that hate's everything at our club but it was a huge mistake keeping JM on to start this season and we may pay a huge price for it. Bugger.

I think any "worst manager ever" debate has to bear in mind that we've had some truly ridiculous appointments made my clueless and egotistical chairman - like Terry Smith, Gordon Hill and Morrell Maison. They're just a stain on the club's managerial history and weren't worthy of the title. McCarthy could perhaps go down as the worst long-term manager the club has ever had, having been given a full season and a little more.

Absolutely, shipping three goals in a game doesn't matter when you have a manager who smile at little old ladies. π
