I'm still having nightmares about last season's first half performance. Lol.

When I first heard Maidstone were next up my thoughts immediately turned to that first half display on the astroturf last season. Looking at their home form though, it's actually really poor this season, so I'm a bit more confident now that we'll get something from the game.

We shipped ten goals in two games on artificial pitches last season. Definitely need to rethink our approach as I got feeling in both games we were beaten before getting off the coach. Seemed to treat them as training games with no proper tackles and we didn't close down on the edge of the box, which is a must because the true surface means more accurate long range shots. Goals were flying in from everywhere. Lynch needs to be on his toes. Crucial we don't concede early and try to get a bit of momentum going after last night. A defeat and we are back to square one...still a lot of work to do before we are mid table. Enjoyed Maidstone last year despite the result. Good atmosphere in the home end and the away stand behind the goal should be finished now. Hope to see a good Exiles turn out.

I’m going to Liverpool Vs Huddersfield this Saturday so can’t make Maidstone, but I will be going to Eastleigh and maybe Bromley coming up. Safe journey to all of the travelling blues on Saturday.

FFS Rio go and wash your mouth out with a mix of Borax and Carbolic followed by a gargle of H2SO4. You’re only a young lad, never advertise yourself on here as going to watch Premier$hite football. Suppose you’ve managed to get another free ticket have you?

Dear Marcus if you read Deva Chat, the above highlighted piece is what simply must be addressed on Saturday. I suppose you already realise that though.

Had to pay £53 for a ticket as well and I don’t support any of Liverpool or Huddersfield. Chester are the only team I will ever support 🔵.

Gives the home side an unfair advantage. However, what do expect from the joke officials running the Conference?

Home advantage it is not, and never has been. Someone further up talked about the new stand... it is now open and that's where you'll be. It'll be segregated but it's shared between home and away fans. Safe journey to those visiting

Hello mate, was all a bit grim last year, shunted into a small corner of the ground watching our team go 4 nil down after half an hour. Closest thing to resembling a highlight was a couple of decent pints at the Flower Pot, please tell me that place is still going?

Had plenty of those myself... The Flower Pot is still open and popular as ever.

Heh, yes. Exactly that.
And I must admit, one thing that upset me last season was that there was such a good atmosphere at the ground, really impressed by the atmosphere your fans created, felt like a cup tie, and was gutted that we didn't rise to the occasion.
So cautiously looking forward to tomorrow, just depends which Chester turns up.

Ha ha, yes, you and me both mate, but imagine we go tomorrow and sit in a brand new stand and watch a heroic Chester performance culminating in a fine away win, whilst fuelled by the cheap happy hour away beer that I believe Maidstone have promised us, what a great way to heal those scars.
Mind you, I used arguments like that to justify trip after trip to flipping Dagenham, and the wounds just kept getting deeper, so not promising anything like, but still, it'll get you out of the house won't it?
