Perhaps someone knows better than me and can answer this question for me.
Tuesday's game, a mid-week game - is always a struggle for me in terms of work to get to a game and get some food etc. So i welcomed the club putting on a £4.50 meal on in blues bar before midweek games for this reason. We started off ok advertising what it was etc but on Tuesday there was nothing at all. I contacted club various social media outlets and got nothing, im not phoning the club that bloody daft. Thankfully a friend attended the blues bar some time in advance as was able to tell me before i went to F&B on the greyhound or sealand rd chippy so i was able to get to the ground have some food and a pint before the game.
Now, i know the food might be a D&A thing but surely for the fans info (who kinda own the club apparently), match atmosphere or at very least to get beer money off me the club should be advertising what is has on offer at the very least via social media?
I know its endemic of our pathetic advertising strategy but this is fairly simple no? It was a good idea in first place for midweek games after all.
(and to add the thai curry was bloody good and great value at £4.50)

They were still doing pies though, also very good. I was tiold the bars are now operated completely by Dougherty and Allen. Do we need to contact them directly now?

Good food, good value, gets fans in the bar early and subsequent drinks sales. Shame it was poorly advertised (actually NOT advertised) for Tuesday night. Had I known it was on I wouldn't have given my money to KFC (as I went straight from work to the game - I'm sure others did too), I'd have given it to our supporter-owned need-every-penny-we-can-get club.

Good luck getting a response.
Like I said on another thread. Our Advertising and Marketing department seem to have finished for the season
Is our lack of marketing and advertisement down to a lack of volunteers? or a lack of direction or strategy from those above?
Given that our chairman made his manifesto all about marketing and sales, you would expect the club to be all over this kind of stuff..
Where's this fabled Database with customer info and email addresses?
How many times have we done email shots out this season advertising matches, squad builder, bignots budget builder, half term soccer schools, seals lottery, junior blues, blues news bulletins???
It's not hard you know to send an email out. Yeah ok it takes a bit of prep to sort out the design template and that, but once you get the template right for one, all you've got to do is copy the format and repeat for future games, events etc. But all that hard work and graft should have been done as soon as the fixtures came out. The only changes needed should be when we have cup games, or a fixture change.

Just touching on your last paragraph, it's down to the members to be a bit more switched on at AGM time when it comes to voting for the board. I fear a lot is given to the manifestos of existing board members looking for renewal, very little of what they've actually done for us over their preceding time on the board is taken into account.
Secondly, it's also down to the CFU to ensure our representatives are reporting on their portfolios at least quarterly to give the membership a true idea of whether they are doing the job we've elected them to do.
