not seen any statement re what the club receive to host these games but if its as before we keep all the gate receipts and also a fee from liverpool its a win win situation for us so as well as seeing future stars(and maybe a few fringe first team players) we gain financially from these games so a good reason to attend if you can

I've never been to one of these matches, but I guess the cost of putting the games on (stewards, gatemen, officials, etc} will far outweigh the money collected at the gate as who would want to watch a meaningless (to Chester fans) game. Is the fee that Liverpool pay worthwhile? If this match was akin to the old-style Central League games then I would be interested.

I seem to recall that Liverpool pay us to host the game, and we get the gate receipts. Lawrence Kirby mentioned at a CFU meeting that the loss of the Liverpool games last season were a factor in the loss we made. Didn't say how much. I've been to a couple of these games and they've been pretty competitive. I'm not a Liverpool fan, but the standard of football is good. If a little different from our usual league. Liverpool are currently top of the U23 league. They had Flanagan, Alexander Arnold, Djoric, Ben Woodburn, Danny Ings and Harry Wilson in their side the other week. Not sure what kind of team they'll have out for Bristol City. Good games on the TV this Sunday though. That might affect attendance.

WILL THEY F**K cos it means getting out of their armchairs To be honest I'd rather the people of Chester (fans of the club or not) got off their fat arses and come and watch us when we play. We knock fans of Premier League clubs but there will be a fair few so called Chester fans choosing to stay in and watch the game in their armchairs, for what is our biggest home game of the season.

I’m sure the club will advertise LFC games more than our own games. Those are the ones that actually matter after all, right?

i assume you mean the wrexham game joey as the biggest game of the season not the match on sunday? i agree with your sentiment but as mentioned 2 tasty premier games on sky on sunday so will affect attendance but ant extra cash coming in always welcome i went to watch bournemouth play norwich in the same premier league cup and they charged £3.00 too and was a good match well worth the money and effort you cant beat the atmosphere of a live game, looking forward to eastleigh on saturday hoping for no rain though but they seem to have sorted pitch out now
