I'm sure it's not Bignot's intention to keep four goalkeepers on the books.
I think a good solution for a club like us is to have two keepers - one old, one young. People forget that Lynch is very young for a keeper, goalies often don't peak until their thirties.
I also think with a goalkeeper, you need to put faith in them and have a clear first choice, and not drop them if they have one or two iffy games. I would keep Lynch first choice and have Vaughan work closely with him, there to fill in if Lynch gets injured or has a prolonged poor spell. I didn't see the point of having two keepers in their early twenties, like Lynch and Mitchell, vying for the shirt. They're not going to learn much off each other and both will want to be playing.

Chester1972 has just posted on the match thread to say that Lynch hasn't travelled with the squad today, due to injury.
That answers the question over why we've signed Vaughan. Sometimes the manager might know more than you.

Surprised Mitchell played today considering he's apparently one of three things - injured, on international duty and/or back at Burnley.
People like to think they're ITK...

He was injured a couple of weeks back, and he doesn’t go on international duty until next week. Never said he went back to Burnley always said he is still here.
