Sounds like there has been some sporadic incicents around the City but nothing on a large scale. No trouble at the ground......hopefully should ensure we keep bubble free in the future.

Was fighting outside by the gates about 30 minutes before kick off...if I'm honest looked like our 'hooligans' jumping on wrexham fans who wasn't looking for a fight. Mostly handbags that said

Storms in teacups and will be jumped on by some elements of the media to make out there is a huge issue - two stories already about the 'clash' in the city centre before the game and more about the delayed kick off.
Quiet games with the focus on the pitch means no PR for people to jump on, no stories to be written, and no £ to be made.

Hope your mate is okay and the Wrexham povs took a beating for their despicable but expected behaviour.

The bubble will be back for our trip there later this season, I reckon. I get the whole civil liberties, freedom stuff but I have found the bubble a pleasant experience as an away fan. It's much easier and of course safer.

Didn’t actually even see a Wrexham fan all night funnily enough, apart from in the away end during the match, walked to the game as well! Was walking up Bumpers Lane at 7.10pm and there wasn’t many people about at all, didn’t see any police until I walked through the gates either. Strange really.

Driving to the match last night there were several coaches of Wrexham fans (plus police presence) lined up near the Amantola on Deeside at about 7pm. Guess that means there are still plenty who prefer something resembling the bubble, or it’s easier for them in terms of parking.

The police removed the bubble, then made the game a night match - for me basically offering enough rope for people to hang themselves.
Other than a scuffle in the afternoon which could not have been too serious as nobody was arrested (6 dispersal notices issued) on the cross I haven't seen any reports of trouble?
No worse than the smallest event at Chester Racecourse.
Hopefully a no bubble 3pm kick off in Wrexham for the return?

There's actually no need to bubble us for the game at their place.
We'll all get tickets in the stand and who'd want to go to Wrexham town centre anyway?
The only one that may need a bubble is the one at our place.
A handful of Wrexham lads going into a pub in Chester and being chucked out wouldn't make the news normally. Unfortunately all the wider public will see is the riot vans alk over town and reports of fighting. That doesn't do our family club image any favours when we're trying to broaden our fan base into the wider community.

However, don't make out it's only Wrexham who have knuckle-dragging supporters who would do this sort of thing - you have your fair share of hooligans.

The police originally moved it to Friday, so it would have been played tomorrow night had it not been televised. BT's intervention was the third different date to be set for the fixture.

I think you'll find that BT made it a night match. Was supposed to be tonight if not on TV. Exactly. I am under the impression that there is something in the contract between The National League and BT. I wouldn't mind betting that the fixture scheduled for March 10th will change if Wrexham are still up there. I best be prepared to change my already booked flights !
