Before we went with the appointment, Bignot was 5/1 to get the Job, someone did put £15 on this so got a decent return. So what stops someone on the board or someone leaking that information and sticking a few K on it? it be worth it if the money went straight into our coffers! .. I know it brings the game into disrepute but we're Just a bunch of idiots who gather in "bingo alls" any way!

Pretty sure this would be classed as fraud.

I imagine these would be pretty stringent rules / laws against this. Like the football rules about betting on football etc etc

I think if large amounts were laid on it, it would alert the bookies' suspicion. I think something funny definitely happened with the whole Matt Higgins thing as bookies stopped taking bets on our manager for a while.

Probably the fact that it's a criminal offence and could land someone in a lot of stew.

FA betting rules would prevent any CFU member from betting on ANY worldwide football bet full stop. Obviously can't be policed but there's enough in it for FCUM to release a statement a few years ago advising all of their members to refrain from any kind of football bet.
