Was planning on attending at the Blues Bar - ironically the Anchor is more difficult for me to get to!
Also I hope the pub are reducing the price of any real ale they do to £2.50 to accommodate the lack of Spitting Feathers. It'll probably be £3.60 a lager or something daft.
EDIT: I must add, though, that I do welcome the general idea behind this and look forward to more pubs, halls and social clubs hosting CFU meetings in the future. Its also good to see the first one, next week, reaching out to those Blues who live over the border with it being in a Welsh pub.

Perhaps it's just me, but I think it makes us look a bit tinpot, more like Sunday league than National league.

I'm on a local committee, which used to hold meetings in freezing back rooms. As soon as we moved the meetings to the local pub we doubled the number of people attending at the drop of a hat!

Maybe - but this shouldn't be a criticism of the club for arranging them in pubs - they just want to boost attendance, which they probably will achieve. It should, however, be a criticism of all those who have suggestions, questions and complaints about the club, but can't be bothered attending.

Surely a pub in the city centre would be more convenient. Sorry, think it’s a great idea but the first meeting should’ve been in Chester?

This is a good initiative going out into the community. But surely the meeting/ Q and A forum needs to be open to all. If it's CFU members only how can they stimulate new interest and support for the club?

Good idea, but is it a fans forum or a CFU meeting?. I sure this was proposed before at a CFU meeting anyway, by one of the co-opted directors, so it's not exactly groundbreaking. Its been been a couple of months, what's the Chairman actually done?

It is open to all not just CFU members, although the OWS does not really make that clear. Could you young social meedja people advertise this fact. All welcome,

Personally I think it's a great idea to take the CFU meetings around different places.
Going back to 2009 onwards we used to have meetings in local pubs and clubs, and it'll be nice to have a taste of that again, whilst at the same time maybe new members can be signed up which can only be a good thing for the membership
Good on the board for having a shot at something new. If it doesn't work then I'm sure it will just go back to the Blues bar as before but fingers crossed it'll be a success.

All welcome, Pretty sure the article categorically states that it's a CFU Members Meeting. The article states the plan is for future meetings to be open to non-members. It is slightly ambiguous in that it doesn't make it clear that it includes this one. It is open to all however.

The Anchor venue is a good idea ,The pub is frequented by supporters of the club and The owner is a passionate fan of many years and I am sure will be very proud to help the club with this new idea , I cant understand negative comments about supposed price of lager , some people are never happy I guess.

Yes. Mancot. Never one to miss an opportunity to criticise. Also a problem for him to get to the Anchor. Let's move it back to the Blues Bar. Me, Me Me.

If you took my "moan" about the cost of a pint seriously, then it says more about you than it does me.

If you took my "moan" about the cost of a pint seriously, then it says more about you than it does me. To be fair, it is sometimes hard to know when you're being serious and when you're not.

Good idea this. Especially like the plan to open it up to non-members. Get someone signing people up at each meeting.

Think it is a great idea myself. Out amongst the "punters". Would like to see the next one advertised early as possible so I can make one.
