For those of you intending to go to Ebbsfleet on 6th Jan, Virgin Trains have their ticket sale on again - £22 return to London Euston (as long as you get the 07:17 to Euston and 18.10 to Chester). It worked out well for Bromley, so I might use this again.

Hi CH2. How do you get from Euston to ebbsfleet cheap? That part of the trip appears more expensive than Chester to Euston

That's the only downside, I can't find it cheaper than £16.40 return to Ebbsfleet International from St Pancras.

That is better at £11.50 return. It takes an hour though as opposed to 20 mins via Ebbsfleet, so if you're not in a rush that'd be worth a go.

But you still have to get to London Bridge or Charing Cross which will be pricey if you dont have Oyster Card. At least you can walk from Euston to St Pancras in 10 mins
