I know not everyone is interested but I can't help but be intrigued by what's going on over at Everton. They spent something like £150m over the summer and looked to have a good side, and were tipped for a Champions League push by some, but it seems like overnight they've become awful. Only just above the relegation places, seemingly good signings like Keane and Williams looking very poor, and thrashed at home last night by a bang average Italian side.
People thought we took a long time to appoint Bignot, but it's a full month since they sacked Koeman. What's taking them so long to appoint a replacement?
I have a feeling they could be the next Leeds or Portsmouth. Something doesn't seem right about them at all.

Rooney back is the least of their problems, he was a free transfer. The problem Is spending a tonne on people that arrest playing well at all and they're all number 10s! Keane hasn't been any good at the back since he left Burnley only positive signing is Pickford and he's playing behind a shambolic defence.

I hope Phil Neville is now as embarrassed as I was having to listen to him on Match of the Day saying that David Unsworth should be given the job on a full-time basis.
Can't stand it when these ex-Premiership players like Phil Neville and Ryan Giggs think they should just be able to waltz into top managerial jobs based on nothing other than the fact they used to be a half decent player.

Thrashed again.
It's very odd what's going on there. There's no way the team they have should be doing so badly.

I feel like we are the Everton of the Conference........ You aren't half right. Summer of optimism, high profile signings and then reality bites hard. Manager sacked, no steel in the boardroom, a different formation and team selection every week and a team of players who appear not to care. Only difference is they will have money to spend in January....

I have nothing against Everton, but the thought of Rooney in a relegated team is delicious.

A mate of mine accidently left his two Everton season tickets on the dash of his car the other night. When he woke up next morning some scumbag had smashed his passenger window and left another 2 !!!

And the old guard of English manager merry go round continues. Allardyce to be named Everton manager today, Pardew at West Brom yesterday. No wonder the England team are so crap when young managers don't get a look in.
I think I'll put a fiver on Pulis to go back to Stoke when Hughes gets the inevitable sack any day now.

Didn't continue too long....lol I can’t see them going far under Allardyce lol. I agree with you Rio. It's disappointing to see the same old faces come up each time the managerial merry-go-round turns - Woy Hodgson, Big Sam, the clown Moyes.

It is absolutely one of my pet hates when players start bucking their ideas up as soon as a new manager is sat in the stands.
To me, it sends out the message that as soon as their neck is on the line, the effort levels increase - who cares about all the punters, paying their hard-earned money week in, week out.

Sychdyn Blue is Mancot.
In fairness, I think he was making a light-hearted joke about Rio's youthful optimism here!

Quite intrigued to find out what will happen in the upcoming Merseyside Derby. A team that can't help getting battered against a team that do their best to throw away any lead.
Probably a dull 0-0!
