You’ve signed 9 players, you’ve got them all to go full time (?). When can we see a win please?
Of the 9 Hall Johnson Decent Archer - might be
The rest are average at best.............
Sorry Marcus but the faith I placed in you is rapidly evaporating....

Those kids are on peanuts, non contracts or loans. What the fuck do you expect!? Exactly. It's not like there's a handful of ready replacements without clubs and on the cheap out there. He's having to wheel and deal with minimal funds and take a punt in a few youngsters (Archer and Slew) who have the potential to be half decent. He has a thankless task imo, especially considering the lopsided squad he inherited. Bignot keeping us up will be greater than any achievement made by our previous managers

This is CuckCarthy's mess. Bignot is trying to clean it up. End of.

Taking a punt is all well and food. However, if we give a few youngsters deals until the end of next season, that is a hell of a punt. Limits our options for next season.
Some of the youngsters coming in don't look anywhere near ready. Constantly bringing in more players who aren't ready is hardly going to help the team, is it?
Archer does look a nugget though, from the little we've seen of him.
I suspect we'll get a few more performances like the one we got today, if team morale has dropped.

We've had one shocking half. Bit of a leap to suggest morale has dropped or he's lost the dressing room.

Yes Mccarthy started this rot.
However the useless Bignot has brought in 8/9 players and quite frankly not one of them is decent.
Bignot will take us down defo.

The worrying thing is that the so called experienced players are no better or are sitting in the stands for months on end. White and Mahon must be two of the most injury prone players in this league

Could be a week, 2 weeks, a month.. depends on Mahon (Bignot's words)

That's what I mean, "depends on Mahon" is a weird one. Does Mahon want to play? Said it depends on how comfortable he feels. It's one of them injuries from the sound of it. Just got to manage it properly I suppose

That's what I mean, "depends on Mahon" is a weird one. Does Mahon want to play? Think that was partly how long it can take to heal, which seemed to be different with each individual. The other part was how much pain they were willing to cope with. Didn't Mahon miss the Senior Blues meeting this month as he'd still unable to drive? Didn't sound promising.

People are entitled to have a view on Bignot and he's not immune to criticism, but personally I just don't see the point in getting at him. The situation he's inherited is awful and while you might argue that so and so of his signings isn't ready, or X shouldn't have been subbed for Y, it pales into insignificance considering the size of his task and the restrictions he's facing. It's not worth creating more ill-feeling and uncertainty by pouncing on anything he does wrong, I don't think. Benefit of the doubt for me, right through to the end of the season and next summer. We haven't really got any option but to back him.

Don't know whether the result has affected my brain or not today, but felt really pissed off by Mahon today, took part in the pre match warm up and all looked OK, yet is still not ready?? Astles has a load of stitches in his foot makes the bench and gets thrown up front and gave his all in a position he looked hideous in.

Apparently Shaw should be available for the next game, from Thursday's meeting. Astles was either going to be then, or today. White and Archer January, Mahon unknown as above.

Archer is a huge loss. He is the only one capable of holding the ball up. Looking like a costly decision to take him to Alty in the senior cup.

MB said that Archer's injury was most likely due to the step up to fill time training from his previous two sessions a week at Stourbridge. Takes time for the body to adjust. In hindsight, he probably should have eased him up to five days. Agree he is a huge loss. We need it key players on the pitch. Also because it keeps more of our less key ones off it.

Yes it's definitely McCarthy's mess, but I'm beginning to think that we're looking at the Conference North scenario now. We have to accept that we're already relegated and while there is always hope, we have to keep our eye on the bigger picture. We need to be more circumspect and stop signing crocks. We've been signing crocks since Youngie left.

In the last couple of games, we have been ok in the first half and shocking in th second half so WHAT THE HELL DOES MARCUS SAY TO THEM AT HALF TIME? As the games have gone on we've got more and more open. We've had 4 strikers on the pitch towards the end of games. We play the ball into feet, lose it, and the other team are running straight at our slow defence. Leaving them exposed. You'd normally set up compact and organised, if you're that slow and limited. Stretching the game isn't doing our players any favours. They must feel nervous every time the opposition get the ball. Just like us. Just sticking four players up front isn't exciting attacking play. It just makes you outnumbered everywhere else. We need to p!ay to what limited strengths our players have, and make it easier for them.

regarding mahon, its very strange that he has picked up the long term injury just close to the same time when the manager said the players have to go full time and we all know CM has commitments elsewhere the words quoted by the manager "its up to mahon" implies all is not well but his hands are tied to tell the full story did the CEO say on interview on tv at the wrexham game that January was the time when players have to commit to full time training sounds as if the club has given players the time to sort out their commitments elsewhere it would not surprise me to see CM leave for a part time part time club with his season ending in february last season we just cant afford for him to be missing long term again (its been long enough already) it was quoted that he could not attend senior blues meeting due to driving pain he surely turns up for training every day ? injured or not for treatment assessment etc ? sounds to me as if hes trying to justify his injury , etc i think the club is being conned he might be a nice chap etc etc who loves the club but hes looking after himself first and foremost

It's such a shame that Mahon is never fit. He's exactly the sort of player we need now.
Sadly, he'll be remembered for his chronic injury problems, rather than the player we all know he can be.

Mahon is finished for me. The lads barely kicked a football now in nearly 12 months since he disappeared last season with that hip problem. And McCarthy deemed it sensible business to hand him a two year deal.. I really dont think we'll ever see the Craig Mahon of 3yrs ago again
