From Archer's Chronicle interview this morning
He said: “Originally they said I would be out for about six to eight weeks. The injury is looking good at the minute and progressing well and I’ve just been in the gym keeping fit and I’m hoping after this two-week break I can get back in and play a bit. We’ll see where we are after that.

Get Archer, Mahon, Shaw, Hall-Johnson and Astles back. Return to 4 4 2 maybe. Hopefully thing might perk up .... we've had lots of imbalanced squads in the last few seasons and this season seems the same but with a different imbalance .... we are all centre mids and strikers with very little width .... interesting conundrum for MB to tackle.

Astles would probably head the ball with a broken neck, he's not a concern. It's some of the others that worry me. Rush players back too early and you'll make them worse. Then you've got Mahon and Shaw, who have been out a while. It's not going to be easy for them.

Will probably require HJ's loan period extending if he is going to play any meaningful part for us.

Wouldn't it be great if we could get proper treatment for our injured players, so they weren't out for months at a time??

And you know that they are not getting proper treatment because...? They are, this is nonsense. If that’s the case then we need to stop signing injury prone players, ridiculous that amount of injury’s we have, even the clueless one McCarthy was moaning about the lack of medical staff we have at the club.

I think the number of injuries is a hangover from the McCarthy legacy. He didn't seem to get the team in very good shape for the start of the season, and now that Bignot is pushing them a bit harder it's not surprising that injuries are creeping in. The number of injuries is a concern and I do think questions should be asked about it, but I'm not going to start pointing fingers at the medical staff without knowledge.
