Are some of you honestly trying to argue that poor performances mean they don’t have a right to a Xmas night out? Where do you draw the line? Should we deprive their kids of presents as well until they buck their ideas up?

No problem with them going for a boys night out what so ever. Going by some of the embarrassing pics and comments on various social media they would probably have been better off going somewhere away from Chester.

They may have paid for themselves, but who pays their wages? Us who go the games. Should’ve at least went out of town, they’re 3rd from bottom in the league and have turned in abject performances near enough every week. Taking the piss a bit imo.

It's Xmas, show a bit of goodwill chaps! If you can't go and have a few drinks with your work colleagues (regardless of company performance) it's a damning indictment of our instant results/gratification society. There is no doubt that the majority of our sqaud put the effort in (there are one or two exceptions as with any company). Peace, goodwill and all that.

As for "they should've gone out away from Chester" I completely disagree - great to see them mingling with the locals and their supporters. As Andy pointed out above, we used to see them in Rozzers back in the day, usually after the last game of the season if it was at home. It was there that Ben Davies told us he was staying... he signed for the Slops a couple of weeks later. Someone mistook Justin Walker for Ben Davies in Rozzers that same night.

So because we pay their wages, we should have a say in how they spend them. Get a grip, you will be telling them what car to drive next.

Don't think he was trying to dictate how they spend their wages.

Reminds me of when I went down to collect my season ticket and her indoors came with me. She saw Daryl Clare and ran over to him and begged him to stay. He told her not to worry he was going nowhere. Less than a fortnight later he was gone.

I’m guessing the first half of the night was a decent affair, nothing outstanding but ok. The second half I’d imagine was a complete dead loss, conversations broken up mid sentence, drinks spilled by the keeper, and general lethargy. Followed after closing time with Bignot making the lads collect the glasses.
