I’m guessing the first half of the night was a decent affair, nothing outstanding but ok. The second half I’d imagine was a complete dead loss, conversations broken up mid sentence, drinks spilled by the keeper, and general lethargy.

I have heard that the players are going to Ireland for a few days on their Christmas break. Yesterday’s event was a ‘’team-building’’ get-together.

It's the club's Christmas party and our manager is having to pay for his own drinks lol. Get real you might not like it but he won't be paying and the players won't be.

Whats the harm in it even if they did? Are you trying to tell me they shouldn't have a Christmas party?
Also, the players/manager out in our City shaking hands and taking pictures is good for PR.

At this moment in time with the club in a relegation battle, And without a pot to piss in, it would be better PR if it was the clubs money being used, for them to cancel the party, and donate the money to a worthy cause, like helping getting the disabled fans a decent viewing area where they are sheltered from the weather, or giving it to a local charity for people less fortunate at this time of year.

How many times do you need to be told the club didn’t pay a penny for this? If you go on a night out with your mates do you go to your work and ask for them to pay for you to go out?

One of those things where we wouldn't bat an eyelid if we were doing OK. In the context of the season, and 2017 in general though, it's a bit of a pisstake IF the club paid for it. I'm pretty sure if my company had had as bad a year as CFC has, any Christmas do would be cancelled!
If it helps the team bond a bit and we see that over the next few weeks, no harm done.

That's right if I go out with my mates. If I go out with the company I work for with my boss around Christmas I wouldn't expect to pay for anything.

Don't worry folks, have no fear. I went in last night and told them they can only have as many drinks as they've won games, they were tucked up in bed by 8pm and the bar tab was under £90, cheap night.

how can the players go to ireland for a few days in mid season? christmas is a busy time of the year gameswise and if they dont have a game they will be training its one of the drawbacks of their profession but they are well paid and have an opportunity out of season to holiday
