First half I thought we were awful. Halls and James really not interested in pressing the ball, Akintunde and Udoh isolated and quiet. It was almost an 8-1-1 at times, and as bad to watch as anything under McCarthy.
Bringing Shaw on gave us impetus and changed the game, he is twice the player that he was under Burr, almost drags us through games. Getting and keeping him fit will be essential to our hopes of avoiding the bottom 4. Bringing Hannah on gave us the cutting edge that won us the game. Udoh was a boy in a mans game at times.
Our back 3 were excellent throughout, and the new keeper was a breath of fresh air. Astles and Anderson were great, and young James Jones had a fantastic, mature debut for an 18 year old. The keeper though could prove the real find. Came and won everything, commanded his box and was brave when needed.
All in all a scrappy, much needed 1-0 win against a relegation rival. And the goats got tossed. Great weekend.

The first half was quite alarming. Bignot has mentioned in the press about how he stresses to the players that each game will be a fight and a battle for survival, yet we were so passive and there was little composure of willingness to get in people's faces. Halls was a fish out of water in the middle and I didn't see Kingsley touch it until about 25 minutes in. What has happened to James? When he was here the first time he was always showing himself to take possession and would be tireless in closing down, he isn't showing that at the moment. He looks shot of confidence, possibly because he's been shifted around in a few positions, but at the very least he needs to get back to the sort of work rate than endeared himself to us the first time around.
As others mentioned, the subs changed the game and that was that. Did we deserve to win? Possibly not, but the substitutions did help us wrestle a bit of ground in the middle of the park and we improved. They had the best of the ball in the first half, yet didn't force our new keeper into anything meaningful and ultimately paid for that. The keeper looks decent, but wasn't sufficient tested so we'll have to wait and see. Jones and Anderson gave some much needed mobility alongside Astles and the defensive solidarity was the main positive we can take from that performance. Looking at the league table it was a huge win for us but we do badly need some points over xmas.

Awful decision to all but take him out of the squad and into the dugout, it really was. Possibly the biggest cockup of all in the close season and how anyone thought it was a good idea is beyond me.
