hows the weather in chester? any snow in the area of the swansway ? have the covers been put on ?
be good to hear an update on the weather during the day and in the morning from blues fans who live in chester and close to the ground
no snow or sign of any down south

After club statement it sounds like the covers are not on the pitch ? Surely looking at the forecast they needed to be put on or do we want the match off to get more players fit ?

I think the covers' function is to keep the pitch from freezing by trapping warmer air under them. There may be a danger of waterlogging by putting them over snow. Today, when it's not snowing it's thawing, and unless the weather deteriorates significantly the pitch should dry by evaporation.

There seems little danger of the match being called off because the ground is frozen. The only chance of the game being called off is if the snow sticks (covers would not prevent this) or causes problems in the stand etc. |

Snowing again this morning. If I was a betting man, I'd have a wager at this being called off. Let's face it, it would do us a favour and playing on days like this could cause further injuries. Just not worth it. Get it called off (although maybe we shouldn't tell Solihull till they get here!)

Forecasting sleet 10 - 11, light rain 11 - 12, dry from midday

Bloody freezing and a light dusting of snow. Hard to see how this game will be on. It isnt freezing at all. Sleet is coming down and its pretty wet. Biggest danger to the game is a water logged pitch or safety concerns around the stadium inside or outside. |

Should be a Statement on Club website stating either game is on or off or time pitch inspection to take place.
Would help all travel plans home and away fans.
Should have learnt from Solihull situation ?
