Good to see him on NBC as guest expert/pundit for the Manchester Derby. He learnt a lot from us in the short time he was with us. I watched him the one time at Ipswich, driving up from London with my son. And now manager of Belgium....quite astounding! It was a memorable game in many ways. We outplayed them and somehow lost 1-0. It was a showcase game for Jonathan Walters who was the best player on the pitch and soon after Ipswich snapped him up.
Anyone else watch this game? Makes a welcome break recalling this from Saturday's game...

I took my girlfriend to this match and we had a couple of days there. She'd been to lots of grounds such as Bury, Rushden and Diamonds, Burton Albion, Southport, etc. We went up to our seats in a lift and emerged into a sea of light in a 30,000 seater stadium. She was amazed at the sheer size of it all. We were robbed that day and later robbed again when we went bust and missed out on a big pay out when Walters was sold to Stoke.

It could've been worse though, imagine that money had come in right at the end of SV's reign. An extra few hundred thousand for him to misuse and prolong his tenure.
Regarding Martinez, I liked him, but he's developed a bit of a reputation for failing to get talented teams to win matches, which makes him a bit of a surprising choice as Belgium manager really.
