One that I've seen from our social media team is constantly refererring to the players either by their nicknames or initials+number. King Kurt last season was a prime example. We've got good players but can we stop on official accounts with the awful nicknames, winds me right up.
Was reading the article about Matty Williams 100th appearance and he was called Willo in it. Shocking, knocked me sick.

Goalkeepers taking a goal kick from the opposite side of the six yard box to the one it actually went out on âŠâŠlike it makes any difference whatsoever

King Kurt grated on me pretty quick.
As does âone of our ownâ on social media posts. Unoriginal and every club does it for a lad born within a 100 mile radius.

Not describing the goals on Twitter anymore. Just a photo of one of the players with sunglasses on or a blow up seal and the word âGLENNO!!â
No idea if it was a 50-yard screamer, a 32-pass team move or it went in off his backside on the line.

I'm not even sure what is trying to be achivied by posting goals like this. I'd much rather here whether the goal was good or not rather than over the top reaction for a 53rd minute goal vs Peterborough Sports.

To be fair there is always an immediate quote tweet describing the goal, that is basically just the instant notification.
Most of this stuff is for the kids/teenagers though. Transfer annoucement videos annoy me.

As much as I love Albert, it feels like too often that we see tweets like âDW4 passes to GG8, and the Skipper sends a delightful ball through to CC9 who finds the net - what a finish from our Starboy!â

Drums ruin an atmosphere, donât make it better. Agreed. Like seeing flags when I'm in the Harry Mac, could they be waved during the game like they do on the continent? Would be good to see more blue and white scarves and have a sea of blue on the terrace. But that drum doesn't fill me with excitement, one of the best atmospheres I've seen was at Hartlepool where the drum was not allowed in. All we need now is the government to allow the use of pyrotechnics.

Nothing against people who take them and are trying to get the atmosphere going but much better without them imo.

Speaking of atmosphere, England at Wembley.
The cauldrons of noise Scotland, Ireland and Wales create. Meanwhile England get people throwing paper aeroplanes around out of boredom and that fucking band tootling out The Great Escape 20 times a game. And don't get me started on the best seats in the house always being empty.
Play internationals all around the country, for god's sake. It's England, not London.

I'm going to stick up for the drummer boys! There are certain lower key games where fans need a little encouragement to loosen the vocal chords and I think the drumming helps.

I think that there's a general apathy towards England games at Wembley as they're usually qualifiers and we're expected to cruise through them games. Whereas with Scotland, Ireland and Wales they're a lot more intense and every game is a must win battle for them to even qualify. That's why they usually create such atmospheres. I'd imagine France, Spain and Germany games are more akin to English games.

Plus what I feel goes under the radar when it comes to the discussion of support in international football, is how well England fans travel compared to pretty much everyone else. Even friendlies abroad are sold out.

"Full time in CH1"
One thing this thread shows is that we need a new social media manager. Preferably an adult.
