With the FA Trophy 2nd Round draw taking place at 13:00 today for us, who do you think we will get? I would love someone like Hendon at home to see us through, however I have a feeling that we will be drawn away to someone like Maidstone. Let’s hope that we can get a good draw today so we can have a chance to progress.

Hereford away for a day out or someone from a league below at home.

Hereford away for a day out or someone from a league below at home. Two leagues below, but I think they'd be too strong for us. Sorry I misread your post. How about Dover (a)?

Home to Kiddy so we can get our revenge. I am hoping for Bognor away, because I work Saturday mornings now, and it's one of the few I could get to in time for kick off. That would be a bitch for most of you to get to.

It'll be Dover away. When do we ever have a good draw?

Awful draw Will have to rely on the exiles to provide the support.
Q: This time, do we play to a finish a la Fylde or have a replay to fall back on if needs be with all that entails?

The shit draws continue!
Well thank God it's only East Thurrock and not the whole of Thurrock.

Not sure how seriously Aldershot took the match on Saturday, but the fact they lost 4-0 to these should confirm this won't be easy at all.

East Thurrock away.
As one of a very small number of Chester fans who has seen East Thurrock this season, I can say they are beatable.
Extremely friendly folk with a decent bar. You could do a lot worse.
East Thurrock started well this season but have slowly dropped away. They play a nice passing game but show some of the gaps you'd expect at this level.

Used to go to East Thurrock a lot as a lino about 20 years ago ! Quite a friendly club but it's literally in the middle of nowhere and virtually no parking. Don't know what sort of team Aldershot put out to lose 4-0 to them but I'd like to think we can get to the next round.

They are only about mid-table in the league below, so not quite as daunting (for the want of a better word) after the Aldershot result.
Oh - and it least it's not Alty away!

Looking at Google Maps, it does look a pretty awful location. Not exactly got a 'day out' feel to it!

They've only won 3 out of their last 10 home league matches, but I suppose that means nothing.

Good question, on the one hand you would hope a home replay would give us more chance of progressing, although you would hope being full time we would be fitter, so more effective in extra time, and perhaps more level headed professionals in a penalty shoot out, although they would have a home advantage atmosphere. I would prefer to drag a bunch of part timers across the country to play us at home on a Tuesday night. We must be looking to progress in this competition.

There were definitely worse draws available. I would prefer a replay back here if it was to finish in a draw. However, I should be going and will be expecting us to progress. I will probably have to drag my dad along with me as it will be his birthday on that date lol.
