Seriously this is food for thought if 500 quid can be raised to get a flag in a few weeks then what could be raised to get in a player See Ben Mills, 2012. If that's not enough to put you off, see "Steve Burr had a dream", 2015. We've got a bar that can't cope when we play Wrexham and Tranmere, the overall capacity of the ground reduced on safety concerns and disabled fans sat out in the f***ing rain... and yet people still want to crowdfund for a player. The mind boggles.

What's the point in us throwing money at the squad budget in the hope of promotion, if on the unlikely chance we were successful, we couldn't fill the ground and are turning people away at the bar? It's a case of facilitating growth or "matching ambitions on and off the pitch" as Mark Maguire has put it.

For f@@ks sake we are in free fall , Mr burns has got another 2 and a bit years left, crowds are on first name terms and all you lot go on about is f@@king flagsWe are trying our hardest to address the attendance issue by actually buying flags and drums to raise the atmosphere in the stadium. As a result of this, more people will be pushing the turnstile gate open. Oh yes I can just see the conversation on a Friday night. "Are you going to the game tomorrow ?" "You're joking it's the same old shite ". " I know but we've got some new flags ". " really ! Let's go " Not.

The flags probably won't make a blind bit of difference to 90% of fans, it certainly won't for me, and by the sounds of it you either, which is fair enough. But if it makes going behind the goal a more enjoyable experience for our younger fans and gets them through the gates then it's worth a go

I can't understand why some sections of our support continually knock down positive steps and ideas made by others, when they themselves do not contribute to the club. There is reason to be questioning of ideas and the direction of the club, its integral to our Fan-Owned Model, more important though, is that Fans have their ideas given a fair hearing and representation.

Baffling how somebody has managed to get wound up about some young fans raising money to purchase some flags/banners for matchday.
Good on them I say.

It reminds me of people who say things like "why are you raising money for refugees when we've got our own homeless and people in need?" Then you ask them what they're doing for "our own people" and they just go a bit quiet.
Some people just have a permanent, inherent chip on their shoulder, and it must be an anxious and unfulfilling way to live your life.

Year after year cfc fail to do it, and a flag certainly isn't going to increase attendances. If the flag had naked women on it it could possibly increase attendances

Seriously this is food for thought if 500 quid can be raised to get a flag in a few weeks then what could be raised to get in a player As per you spectacularly miss the point Sir Fred. This is about atmosphere, not spunking our hard earned on a gamble player who may or may not work... This is about capturing the kids imaginations and doing our best as a fan base to encourage the kids to keep coming back, they don't necessarily care about the standard of football, all they want is a fun day out with their mates

Lache lad, Fine you don't agree, so why dont you shut the hell up and let those who think this is a good idea get on with it eh? Go and play on the negative thread, or start your own, you'll find the arguments you're looking for there I'm sure of it

I know it is probably too late to do this for this season but those folded paper hand things made a heck of a noise at Leicester last season. They would help to raise the noise in the East Stand which can be a bit slow on atmosphere until the end near the goal gets us going!
It would be good to keep these ideas going, working alongside the Club, and hopefully get the Harry Mac a full and noisy next season.
Well done those involved. My donation to follow!

These things are absolutely awful, also whats to say people will use them, if they wanted to make noise they could use there hands, which they choose not to do so why would they use these.

Keep the ideas & donations coming in. Remember the more we raise the better we can make the displays, whilst ideas will also help to improve them!

one of my personal ideas, whilst quite an optimistic one, is to have the coloured card which is held up at the start of the game. Could have each block holding blue/white alternating. It would look amazing but would also be costly and take time to get all the card out. Could do it for a derby, though.
