On the back of 2 abysmal performances, it will be very hard to think that we will put it right tomorrow. However, Hartlepool are in a lot of trouble themselves. Whilst they aren’t in the relegation spots, they are in a bad run of form and are in big financial trouble as well. Also, I watched the players train yesterday and the style of play was much quicker, and they put in lots more effort. Hopefully tomorrow we will see a different performance with lots more effort included. I can’t see us winning this game sadly, but we all need to support the lads if we are in any hope of getting a result, as we are all in this together. If you are angry with what you see, then try to vent your frustrations at the end and not during the game. Come On City! Score: Chester FC (Gough) 1-3 Hartlepool United Attendance: 1,673 (310 Hartlepool) COYB!

Rio you've said 3-1 Hartlepool, but voted for a Chester win.
I think despite the fact that Hartlepool are in a dreadful run of form they will easily beat Chester, who are increasingly finding it difficult to score a goal without the fact that we gift goals to the opposition on an alarmingly regular basis. Chester 0, Hartlepool 2. 1,543 and a good following from the North East.

Another defeat. Halifax were in shocking form. Guiseley were lower than us and had an abysmal away record. Just add Hartlepool to the list.

Lose the dressing room and there's no way back unfortunately. I think the prediction league that has us finishing on 35 points might be a tad generous.

Got a feeling this'll be one of the games where everything goes right and we turn them over, 1-0 Blues.

Pretty grim weather wise today. A veritable slush-fest! Any doubt about the game?

Rio, are they still training down Sealand Rd? And was Hannah training, we need him playing.
Could nick it 1-0 with neither team prepared to cross the halfway line and their keeper to crash the ball against his defenders head ricocheting into the net in front of a jubilant Harry Mac with last kick of the game! I’ll be there supporting the team!

I hate to say this about a home game against a team in poor form, but I'd take a draw and a fighting performance. It wouldn't help us much in terms of the table, but it would restore some pride, which is about all we're playing for now.

Going for 1-1. If there's a cat in hell's chance of avoiding relegation then we must win the next two, going to need lady luck on our side for that to happen.

As always, it's the players attitude that's going to make or break us. Hopefully, MB has found a way to pick them up after the last week. Not conceding an early goal is critical
Harrison is making a bit of a play on the pace of his wide men which does not bode well for us and I think they will score at some time this way.
Going for a 1-1 draw, fair to middling performance, crowd of 1750 (300 from Pool)

0-5. Bignot bingo will be played, we will concede within the first two minutes and the floodgates will open. James to pull out of several tackles and We could also see the return of pass master halls.

Well we've lost our last game in 2017. Worst calender year I can remember and not much to look forward to on the horizon.

Having seen the reasons for postponement and considering opponents it's a fair decision.
Ah well, 4 home wins in a calendar year! 2018 can't be any worse, can it?

What about 2016? and 2009 2016 was ok. 2009 was dreadful, but at least it marked the beginning of the end of a catastrophic period for our club. I'd long given up going to matches.

To score a goal would be nice. 😳 0-0 because they play as crap as us. Sorry can’t be more positive.

This game is now going to place on a freezing cold Tuesday night so the club need to put some deals/incentives for this re-arranged game to try and stop a poor attendance. Over to the board and Maguire......

Very disappointed. Not that bad here at all, nothing that won't clear overnight (not seen forecast) There was snow in Chester which was then waterlogged into the ground by heavy rain before it even got light this morning. I've been out and about today and the city is soaked. Not really surprised it is off. Given the farce of Eastleigh and how much we (rightfully) complained about them, I think it is the right decision. Shame though - I was (god knows why) looking forward to the game.
