There's some info about this on the Chester FC website but the link doesn't work. Anybody have any idea what is says? Maidstone's capacity is on the low side.

Here’s all you need to know if you’re a Blues fan travelling to Maidstone for next Saturday’s game:
This game will be segregated – but both sets of spectators can pay on the gate.
As some will be aware, Maidstone are currently having a new stand constructed at the Gallagher Stadium – the football club have emphasised to us how sorry they are for any inconvenience this may cause to fans.
The decision on the arrangements for fans have been made by the clubs safety group, as the building work is taking place at the north end of the ground.
The area that Chester fans will be in the Gallagher Stadium is a flat standing only area and is not covered.
Due to the work as well, there may very well be restricted viewing to some fans. Maidstone apologise for this inconvenience and emphasise it would not normally be the type of hospitality they would hope to offer.
Only non-alcoholic beverages will be served. Disabled facilities are at full capacity. There are only nine seats available at the moment to Chester supporters – contact Maidstone directly on 01622 753817 if you require a seat.

Pubs are decent and within walking distance of ground though...friendly bunch including one old school punk complete with multicolored hairstyle.

if coming by train Maidstone East is only about a five minute walk away from the Gallagher Stadium. As you come out of Maidstone East Station walk up the station approach to the main road. At this road turn left and then go straight across the next two roundabouts and you will find the stadium located in front of you. Turn left at the T-Junction and the main entrance is down on the right.

Respect to any fan going all the way to Maidstone. It is a pity it is so far away because I think this match, along with the Southport game, is pivotal to our season. Lose these two games and we are seriously looking over our shoulder.

The White Rabbit looks close to the ground anyone have any info is it away supporter friendly I worked in Maidstone a couple of years ago, just round the corner from the ground, and we used to go to the White Rabbit for a cheeky lunchtime pint. It's smart enough, more of a food place than a football pub if I'm honest, but you won't get any trouble in there. There's a Weatherspoons close to the ground too, for those on a budget. Parking is a bit of an issue near the ground, and when I say issue, I mean there isn't any, so be prepared to park in town. It's only a five minute walk. The ground is right next to the library and two minutes from the prison. Not sure how this is helpful, depends what sort of day you're planning I suppose.

The two stand outs for real ale fans are the Flower Pot, keep walking between the White Rabbit and Clarks Furniture and in a few minutes the pub is on the right just before the garage. Try the Goachers Gold if it is on.
Or try the Cellar Bar over the river, about ten mins from the ground, google the directions.
Also the Weatherspoons is convenient but can get crowded (I used to work above it)
I'd like to echo the clubs apologies for the view on offer for this game, I think the work will be worth it and hopefully we will be around to give you something better next season

Is there any street parking near the ground?

The only street parking anywhere near the ground is resident permits in tight Victorian streets. Pay a few quid for one of the many proper car parks a short walk away. maidstoneunitedfc.proboards.com/thread/6628/maidstone-pub-sceneLoads of pubs in town, but you are most likely to be at the Society Rooms next to Maidstone East station. Apologies for the poor view, although you will notice it is the same for many home fans.

The White Rabbit looks close to the ground anyone have any info is it away supporter friendly Nah White Rabbit is more a food place. As Moley says if you like your Real Ale head to "The Flowerpot", if you're not fussed the Weatherspoons "Society Rooms" is right next to the station. Both about 5mins from the ground. I'd avoid White Rabbit and Hare in Hounds, the two nearest the ground! If you're feeling adventurous there's plenty of pubs in the town all within walking distance. As for parking there's usually a charity car park just across from ground, failing that I'd use the station car park, think it's £3.50 for the day - avoid Fremlin Walk as it'll cost a fortune!

Lose these two games and we are seriously looking over our shoulder. It's important we certainly don't lose these games, 4 points would be great, but two defeats could see both Southport and Maidstone within 7-10 of us which is not a lot at this stage. Massive two games ahead when you consider after that we have Tranmere, Eastleigh, Lincoln, Macclesfield.

Interesting that this season we are on 43 points after 32 games. Last season after 32 games we had 38 points. It feels like, on the whole, we have played much better than last year but are only 5 points better off so far. I'd be amazed if we got dragged anywhere near the relegation places but we still need points and have some tough games left.

Been told by a Maidstone fan that the view will only be restricted if there are a large number of us due to the area being flat apparently Aldershot took a couple of hundred without any problems dont know how many blues will be there but I would be surpised if its over 100 to be fair as its a long way for most of you only 45 mins for me though hope to see as many of you as poss on sat. The best pub apparentley is The Flowerpot on Sandling Road about 5 mins walk from the ground

Hopefully when you get to the Gallagher you will see why things are the way they are for the moment.
It's just a pity you miss out on our new facilities by a couple of weeks.
As background, the GS was built in 2011/12 with a capacity of 2226 and budgeting for an average of 800. That was too low from the outset, and the bigger crowds caused problems with the view right from the beginning. The main stand has already been extended, and the new stand is needed to comply with the Conference National requirements and to improve the view.

Looking at your attendances 800 is well below what your getting which seems to be reguarly around the 2000+ mark if only we could get that still looking forward to tomorrow and a decent pint in the flowerpot and more importantly 3 points
