If, which appears more probable week by week, we are relegated to CN I am unable to see how we can sustain our current expenditure given that all Sam Hughes money is spent/accounted for, rainy day fund must surely have taken a hit, we have at least 6 players on FT wages for another season, 2 well paid staff on the ops board, poss still paying off previous managers, unless admission prices are reduced a likely fall in attendances (if they are reduced, a fall in income) etc etc. I posted on another thread as follows: The 100 club is a great idea if it takes off and the Stagecoach deal could bring in 100k per year if granted both at little outlay to the club. We should be thrashing our assets to bring in money, the car park could be used for all sorts ie, Circus, classic car meets, Chester Beer Festival, car storage for the dealers nearby, farmers market, antiques fair, overnight lorry park (facilities needed). Why not do up the executive boxes and rent out as office space during the days (easy £100+ per office per week)Market Blues Bar and Legends Lounge as meeting space (already being done but need more). These are just the easy ones, all thought of as I write this thread imagine the possibilities if a few heads got together with some "Blue Sky" thinking
Wondering what other reasonable ideas are out there that can be implemented "in the here and now" which would make a difference and help to plug the likely fall in income.

Another thread with lots of ideas shared will follow, one or two may share their idea with the club. And nothing else will happen.
Until the Board realise we need a Fundraising Team assembled, and they are given the freedom to do what they need to with minimal interference from the Boards, then we will continue again in another 3-4 months with another thread about ideas, and it will just keep on going like it has for the past 8 years

Agreed, however the Board may not be in a position to ignore this given the first part of my post. There are already assumptions that we are skint add to that the probability of even less income and we could disappear as quickly as we rose from the ashes. I may sound alarmist but I really do fear for the future of our club at the moment. Is there any reason why we as fans cannot just set up our own fundraising committee after all on another Thread there are several posters who have intimated that they would like to volunteer for the club?

Nothing seems to happen when individuals put forward suggestions, so a more formal procedure is required. Fans need to get organised and collectively put formal suggestions/complaints to the Board who would then have to respond. Time for a Deva Chat action committed perhaps? We own the club and we need to be more involved rather than being generally ignored by the aboard.
